Aventurine is a growing crew sailing on the Malachite Ocean. Founded originally by Nattee and Biote, refugees from other oceans, the crew started expanding as others in a similar situation found shelter in their midst. In this way the oceans, mainly Viridian and Midnight, combined to create the original crew core.
Oddly the first Viridian crew Aventurines not only has a similar name, but got to it through similar logic; completely independently. Wikipedia states that Aventurine is a type of quartz commonly translucent and can glisten due to inclusion of platy minerals. This shimmering effect is termed aventurescence. When an overabundance of fuchsite is present it may be opaque causing it to be easily mistaken for malachite. In addition to the obvious connections here, aventura is the Portuguese word for adventure.
Intended as a crew meant for fun, jokes often run rampant but are only meant in good spirits. While they invite anyone and everyone to join them in pillage, they do have a minimum maturity requirement for permanent membership.
