Rescheduling Use of temporary team members has been made easier for OCL now, so that reschedules are less likely to be necessary. It is important that reschedules are avoided where possible. Where they are impossible to avoid, they should be arranged in advance in accordance with the rules, or both teams will forfeit points for the match. Please read the relevant sections of the OCL rules page linked above.

Updating this page After each match, the team Captain should update the team's scores. To edit, please use the "edit this page" tab at the top of the article, rather than editing the tables themselves. There are two lines in the page that you need to update: the "match score" and your overall "team score". In the "Match Scores" section, find the appropriate line for the match you have just played, using the teams' letter codes (for example, ADMatchScore=4-0 would indicate that in the match between teams A and D, A won four points, and D won no points.) Your team score is included in the team information section. For your team, add your current cumulative score of wins versus losses (for example, ATeamScore=7-5 would indicate that team A has won 7 points in total, and given away 5 points). Only edit your OWN team's score, unless you have the explicit consent of the other team to do both.

Scoring:

4-0 for a sink

3-1 for a disengage (the 1 point goes to the team who disengaged)

2-2 for a grapple or for a time-out (match lasts over one hour)

2-2D for a simultaneous sink (2-2, but appending with a D so that we know it's a double sink)

4-F for a one-sided forfeit

F-F for a double forfeit

If there are any disputes or disagreements with results, please post in the forum thread linked above, or make a note on the discussion page (select "Discuss this page" at the top of the article) rather than editing. Any discrepancy can then be dealt with by an Ocean Master or by a nominated player assistant.

Player changes: you are allowed one removal of a team member during the league, and one addition of a team member during the league. If you use either of these changes, update the team members in your team information section, change "None" to "1" in the relevant row, and state the swap made (i.e. which pirate was removed or which pirate was added). Note that the one addition does not allow you to go above the maximum team size - if you have a maximum team already, an addition will need to be accompanied by a removal.

I've assigned player volunteers to each ocean so that there are a couple of extra people around to help with problems and check that things are running smoothly. Bisquick (forum account Bisquick) and Verlool (forum account LubJenneh) are the volunteers for this ocean.

There will be a special blockade prize for the ocean that demonstrates the best sportsmanship during this league. There will also be prizes on each ocean for the team that demonstrates the best sportsmanship - and these prizes will be decided by YOU, with votes from each team at the end of the league. This is to encourage friendly play and a pleasant atmosphere in the leagues.
