File talk:Jolly roger waving.gif

From YPPedia

Is animation necessary?

This little icon is used for featured articles, and uh... it really sticks out like a sore thumb. When all other YPPedia content is docile and static, an animated image is out of place; furthermore, since the same type of waving flag is used in the YPP client to designate a still-loading page in the HTML browser, this image is misleading me into thinking the page is loading, loading, forever loading... When the featured art and article templates used a static jolly roger image it was complained that the image and link was too subtle and missed by most. Do you have any ideas for a middle ground? --Fiddler 13:27, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Something a bit shinier, but static? --Belthazar451 13:37, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
