Addyrielle

Vote here (3/2/2) ended 03:55 9th of August, 2009 (UTC)

Addyrielle (talk • contribs) – Addyrielle has been helping out with Yppedia for many months now, and would love to become an administrator. She takes pride in the work that she produces, and is totally addicted to all things Puzzle Pirates. She has a very sound knowledge of the game, and wants to continue learning all that she can. She would also like to continue sharing the knowledge that she has gained with other users, and help the Puzzle Pirates community out in any way that she can. Adrielle =) 12:00, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: I accept Adrielle =) 12:05, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Support

  1. I Support Adrielle 100% for this position. After knowing her for a long time, i know she is responsible and reliable enough for this role. Her many additions and edits to the wiki already are a good example of why she is a prime candidate for this position. --letalis
  2. Support. Apologies for the late vote - I've been spending a while trying to work out what to say. I'm gonne be meeting you in under a week, so I'd better give a glowing review if I want to be able to look you in the eye. =D In all seriousness, though, you do good. Despite a few teething troubles back when you first started, your recent edits have been great. Not sure how many of them have been purely to incite us to consider you for adminship, but you do a lot of work with images anyway, and being an admin will greatly assist there. I do have a few reservations, however, which I've detailed in the comments section below to avoid a huge honking paragraph up here. --Belthazar451 00:35, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
  3. Support. I support Addyrielle's application because she often helps me with her computer skills. She seems to devote a lot of time to helping with yppedia and shes always happy to help me with programming issues i have (and i tend to have a few). Shes trustworthy and diligent in all her pursuits. I wish you success, Ad, You deserve it.

Oppose

  1. I am friends with the nominated user, I know the user edits alot and is a helpful member of the community. Her work on the Avatar artist's directory is great. I think the user could continue contributing well without admin powers. I dont think there is really anything she has done so far that sticks out majorly as a huge contributions to the community. Most of the current admins have created widely used templates etc. The main thing that sticks out at me, is the users edit frequency in some places, Though I do understand somethings dont show up on previews. --Lcawte 10:26, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
  2. Oppose - I feel that this user is still learning and has some room for improvement before adminship should be considered. I would also like to see more in the way of technical edits from this user. -- Cedarwings (talk) 14:01, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Neutral

  1. I am voting Neutral at this stage because I have not seen enough evidence of strong technical edits as Cedarwings mentions below. Other than that I have no objections - the candidate strikes me as a suitable candidate for admin otherwise - lots of enthusiasm and willingness. --Lizzie 09:01, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
  2. Neutral - Addyrielle has done some great work with true wiki dedication. Her interactions with other editors so far have been helpful and in general she shares her opinion without being argumentative. I would support her for adminship if she continues in this manner and learns some more technical editing. Involvement in policy discussions would also be a plus. --Guppymomma 16:15, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Comments

  • Providing a link to pages that you are pleased with will better allow those voting an opportunity to properly see what this user's abilities are. -- Cedarwings (talk) 14:01, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
  • As CW said above, you've provided no specific examples of articles which you are pleased about. Opal Ocean island articles are rather routine, to be brutally honest, and the avatar artists directory is simply continuing a communal effort that's already there. Secondly, again as other users have said, you have trouble with technical editing - things involving templates and/or complicated wikicode. While in my eyes this doesn't quite block you from adminship, it is a point against you - you should perhaps avoid techincal edits until you learn how things work. Playing around in the sandbox can help here. As I said in my vote, though, adminship will help you to tidy up behind you when you're doing a lot of image stuff, and your willingness to help with the long-neglected Current Events page is admirable. --Belthazar451 00:35, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
A. I would love to help out with anything and everything. I have a lot of time to spend on my computer, and I love editting =). I would especially like to update the "Current Events" pages, and continue to keep the avatar artists directory up to date :).
2. Of your articles or contributions to YPPedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. I am pleased with all of them, big edits and small. I especially liked making island pages for the Opal Ocean, and updating the avatar artists directory.
