Werewolf expedition

Werewolf expeditions are a pillaging-based expedition involving a sea battle with a werewolf ship. The expedition can be started with a Wolf-skull Wayfinder won from werewolf frays, or won from brigands and barbarians while pillaging during a full moon.

A Wolf-skull Wayfinder is a compass that is placed in one's inventory. The Wolf-skull Wayfinder is won by a random player when a player team beats a werewolf fray. This replaces the sea monster map that is rewarded normally from monster frays.

Wolf-skull Wayfinders degrade in three days from the time that they are obtained.

Fighting Werewolf Boats

Placing a Wolf-skull Wayfinder on a vessel's charting table will trigger an expedition for the werewolf boat, which will always be the same vessel type as the boat the player is on. Winning the battle against a werewolf ship creates another werewolf vessel expedition, up to a chain of three consecutive expeditions. If the battle is won or lost, the Wayfinder will disappear; if the player ship disengages, the Wayfinder will be lost as well.

Werewolf Exclusives

Certain clothing items, furniture items, and trinkets can only be obtained from the Werewolf expeditions. The items are given out in the treasure chests obtained upon porting.

Clothing

A Werewolf Captain's Hat can be won as prize items from the hauled treasure chests. These hats require a pirate to be Officer and above in a crew, as well as have a Badge to be worn. It is also possible to win a hunter chroma, which may be used to change a single colour on a single item of clothing to hunter.

Furniture

These are found only in treasure chests from the werewolf expeditions. They cannot be purchased at a furnisher. Some of these items could be won from past Mystery Boxes or were available via a furniture design at the trading post.
