The Dastards is a crew on the Midnight Ocean. It was founded shortly after the Alpha release in late 2002 by Duncan, who was very shortly displaced by the lovely Ursela. Once referred to as a Flag Monopoly they've now moved on to other things, leaving their legacy as part of the long gone Azure Ocean.
On Azure the crew flew the flag of The Libertarians, whilst on Midnight they sail beneath The Libertarian Traders' banner.
History
The Dastards have a reputation of switching Captains more often then any other crew on Azure. The rumor goes that the captains were cursed and didn't roam the seas that often, once they were made captain. Whilst Duncan and Ursela left the seas, the crew was in the hands of Ava, whom on his turn gave up on his fellow pirates. At this time Wildeyedjack was one of the most active Officers and took over. But it didn't last that long before he too was cursed and gave the leadership into the hands of Tim. He lasted a bit longer but not long enough too see the start o' the Midnight Ocean. I believe it was WildeyedJack whom was made captain again. In the final stages of the old Azure Ocean, the Dastards maintained a good relationship with Vixen and her crew The Black Widows. They helped her to build her palace and other buildings, and in return Tim and Wildeyedjack were made Prince o' her flag.
Public Statement
We be the Dastards from ye olde Alpha, we be a part o history! One o the very first crews to sail these seas, we come from a time when brigands didn't exist and tournaments only drew 20 people.
