Talk:Malachite blockade history

Chrysalis Blockade

I'm quite certain the upcoming blockade on Chrysalis is an actual event blockade. Not a real blockade that's declared to be an event of some sort, but your basic just-for-the-fun-of-it event blockade, with no change of ownership for the island, and hence not notable enough to be given a number. --Belthazar451 15:20, 13 June 2008 (PDT)

I agree. In other blockade histories, some event cades are noted but because they did have a purpose of some kind, or were part of a notable event or contest. This one doesn't really seems worthy of an entry in Malachite's blockade history.--Cecidrake 15:39, 13 June 2008 (PDT)
I have reverted the entry for two reasons. Firstly there are only a few occasions in past where events have been included in an ocean's blockade history (24 hour blockades for one). Secondly, the entry was for an upcoming blockade and this page is for blockade history (blockades that occurred in the past). -- Cedarwings (talk) 17:56, 13 June 2008 (PDT)
The event blockade with results has been added again. I still think it doesn't deserve an entry in history.--Cecidrake 11:06, 14 June 2008 (PDT)
Again, event blockades rarely ever appear on a blockade history page and this is not a case of one that should be there. I have reverted the edit again. -- Cedarwings (talk) 11:26, 14 June 2008 (PDT)
But considering its the first one on Malachite, isn't it notable enough to be displayed on this page? --Knowledge13 22:05, 14 June 2008 (PDT)
It's still an event blockade - those are a dime a dozen. Yes, other oceans have blockades listed as event blockades for their first few blockades, but note that Malachite is the first ocean that was opened after actual event blockades were created. The so-called "event" blockades on the other oceans are real blockades that are declared to be an event, and if the island was won, it did actually change hands, even if it got reverted ten minutes later. Now that we have actual event blockades, they stop being notable. --Belthazar451 22:20, 14 June 2008 (PDT)

Overlinking

I am in favour of having 1 link per context (month, scorelist, introduction) - Any concerns if I add them back in? Maybe it would be better to revert and write a little script to do that. --Kamuflaro 17:07, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
