Scuppering Seven Seas was originally called The Butt Kraken's, and was the solo flag of Scupperer. Poseidon disapproved, and the name was changed to mirror Scupperer's active flag on Viridian, Scuppering Seven Seas (frequently abreviated to SSS).
SSS was founded on March 24, 2005.
