Autobiography

This autobiography was originally written on the forums, and provides a private journey through the evolution of puzzle pirates.

"'I started our shortly after the deployment of cobalt. My greenie days were nothing short of uneventful. It became clear, though, that I would have many experiences as an event-runner. I started my crew with a teenage kid from NY named Shaggyd. Our crew probably ended with about 20 pirates or so- but at the time it felt like a million. I was very proud of the useless pillaging we did. But as I was saying about event-runner. My first month or so I can recall gathering a bunch of greenies as the Lima dock as announcing I would award 100 poe to the first greenie that could run to the nearest clothing store with exploring the map and clicking directly at it. I gave the pirate his prize and though I was oh so cool. Haha.'

'Of course, all this event running didn't work out for me at first. I tried running a raffle that required pirates to pay 10 PoE for a ticket; which got me temporarily banned (and I'm happy to say that's the only time I've ever been banned- as a greenie.) I hung around but after a while Shaggyd left and I was left swordfighting- and that's when I met Skywalkers. He was a nice kid- but a total greenie. he was a lot like me when it came to swordfight- but he also liked to drink (the puzzle, hehe.) I was inspired to subscribe for the sake of being able to use a falchion. I guess you could swordfight is really what hooked me to puzzlepirates- and I play it ever day to this very moment. I stuck around cobalt for a while and swordfought- but shortly after the release of hunter (about a month of so after afterwards) I decided to start anew over there.'

'The first thing I noticed about hunter was how easy it was to get high stats. I quickly got most of my stats to renowned or grandmaster- and set my goal to get at least legendary in each. At the time- it seemed like ultimate was an impossible task. I quickly learned that with a little dedication and studying I could achieve ultimate. For a few months I swordfought with Scubby (Skywalker's brother, who was eventually mod-banned) when I started taking interest in politics on Hunter. I join -Epic-, but I was able to escape to -Frozen- with zeroblaze shortly after -Epic- started falling apart (and the details of that catastrophe are complex- and I could give you them but they are quite personal and real. I think some people would find the reality of that shocking. It is interesting how faeviolet has dissapeared since. I wonder where she is?)'

'Earning Zeroblaze's trust, I became very good friends with him, Cheezits, and others. During that christmas of 06, Zero was able to take Saiph island. Things got complicated- he decided to bail out, and let's just say I was left with one island, no money, no ships, and a sabotaging intruder (who kept sinking innocent crew-ships.) After that catatrophe, I guess you could say we were re-born as a crew. We moved to Razorblade Romance and started a-new. Later things eventually ended up as Access Denied (with Zeroblaze, Cheezits, and Redpspyke at the helm.) We had a lot of fun and success, and this new "era", I guess, brought on a lot of new characters, including Nebakanezar, Loosen, Linnyani, Joekickas, Scurvyllama, Lucipher, and more. I became good friends with these people, but we later ended up parting ways. A few of those players still play, occasionally (I'm happy to report. :])'

'When Zeroblaze quit I pretty much felt useless, so I moved to Sage in order to start anew. I really did like the environment. The best parralel I can connect is like with snowboarding. In east-coast snowboard parks everyone keeps to themselves and snowboard as hard as they can. On the west-coast people are friendly with everyone and everyone has a great time and no one hesitates to comment on your stylish flow or sick tricks. Things are more laid-back. I felt laid-back in Sage with Nooblar and crew. However, I once felt very betrayed by a crewmate, and I ran back to Hunter to try and forget about the experience.'

'Coincidentally, Loosen was retiring at the very same time. I inherited some of his poe, which I regret very much. Cheezits blamed my return on simply the fact that I wanted some of his Poe, and I shamefully admit that is probably partially true. I later learned that poe is no where near as important is it seemed at the time, but then again I did legitimately care for Loosen and Linny. When I returned I got the cold shoulder from a few people, and I tried making it back with Access Denied. However, Cheezits and Redspyke saw right through my transparant ways- and gave the flag to the responsible hands of Nargon and Amar. I am glad they made that decision. I have since made a fair amount of money through sea-monsters, saving, familiar-trade, and poker. I do count every PoE that I have, and pay close attention to the levels. I feel like if I ever lose track- I'm probably losing PoE as well.'

'At this stage, I kind of was kicked out of society. I looked to Gunnermooch for help, I suppose you could say. Gunner and Belle welcomed me with open arms- I was shocked to say the least that they let me give a go to represent them at a blockade event. I tried my best, and I think they were impressed- as they made me royal. Alas, life had different plans for me though. I've started computer-programming web-structural design using Ajax and Flex-like programs on flash-player, air deploymeny, etc. And all this extra time (including high school) was dwindling. I demoted myself and told Gunner I was done, I told every I was done. The only problem is I'm still a bit addicted to the whole enjoyment I get out of playing, and the nonchalant views I have when I look back on my experience of this game. That brings me to now. A computer-programming teenager who loves to swordfight and puzzle.'"

Scervy is retired permanently.
