PAROT
Pirates Against Ruining Our Territories (PAROT) was formed in August 2004 by Hempline. The organization is dedicated to the preservation of outposts from building construction.
The Hempline Administration
The founder and first chairman of PAROT, Hempline expressed a reverence for the natural wonders and history of Midnight since his arrival on her fair shores. His ecological surveys of the remote islands of Midnight did much to raise the conservation awareness of the many pirates sailing the ocean and gave many a greeny their first glimpse in the natural beauty of the ocean.
After his observation of the ecological mismanagement of Turtle Island, Hempline determined that PAROT would require force to ensure the safety of its reserves. Between Hempline's and Whitefire's political connections, and considerable help from Misery and Crimson Tide, PAROT was able to clinch a victory at Chaparral I. Against all odds, this one-man volunteer organization was able to protect the forest of Chaparral Island.

However, the success of PAROT was shortlived as Chaparral was soon taken by imperialistic capitalist powers. This defeat, along with a shift in real life and in-game circumstances, forced Hempline to step down as PAROT chairman and appoint Whitefire as the second chairman of PAROT. While PAROT kept quiet on several key islands (Frond and Vernal Equinox) the opening of Midsummer roused PAROT to action.
