An owl is a type of familiar that is hatched from an owl egg obtained from a trading post. Standard colors of owls were only available on the Obsidian Ocean, until they were introduced to the classic oceans in mystery boxes.

In Dark Seas, owls cannot be traded between players. Owls became tradeable on classic oceans as of Release 2024-01-05.

Colors

Crimson owl eggs and shadow owl eggs only hatch owls of their respective color; regular owl eggs hatch a random standard owl color. The known standard colors are:

• Tan (also available in Sinister Box Promotion (2021), Ice Box Promotion (2022), and Ice Box Promotion (2023))
• Grey
• Grey Blue
• Brown
• Grey Brown
• Red Brown

Currently available limited edition colors are:

• Gold Box (June 2020): Banana
• Gold Box (December 2020): Plum
• Gold Box (October 2020): Chocolate
• Ice Box Promotion (2021): White
• Spring Green Box Promotion (2021): Emerald
• Wine Box Promotion (2021): Wine
• Gold Box (April 2022): Periwinkle
• Gold Box (October 2023): Pumpkin

Historical notes

• Owl eggs were added to trading posts in release 2018-01-29.
• Owls were made tradable on all oceans except Obsidian in release 2024-01-05.
