Kogarashi is a crew that sails the Cobalt Ocean. The crew currently flies the flag of Phoenix Rising.

History

Kogarashi was originally founded under the name Murakami Suigun on 18 March, 2005 by Kuroshio and the original name was chosen after a band of pirates of the same name in medieval Japan.

Many of the original members came from the Midnight crew Soyokaze. Kogarashi is Japanese for "sudden storm" or more specifically, the brusque, sudden winds of fall that herald the coming of winter.

The crew was renamed to Kogarashi upon reorganization on Cobalt, to reflect the crew's roots in Soyokaze, a Japanese term meaning "gentle breeze" or "fair wind".

By June of 2007 the crew had left Imperial Margarine to sail under the flag of Phoenix Rising.
