Grobyctwo

Grobyctwo is a pirate on the Viridian Ocean, and began his journey a little under three years ago.

After getting down the basics, he became a member of the prominent crew, Dragon's Horde. Here he polished his skill with the help of Rhino, and was on his way to becoming great. However, impatience and greed kicked in, and Groby left the crew to search out other ones. This was, and always will be, one of his biggest regrets.

For a great deal of time he bounced back and forth in minor crews, and continued to work on skills. Eventually he ended up in the crew Rise of Brutality, under the flag Imperial Coalition. While this crew was nothing spectacular, he did meet one of his best mates, Piratecasey, along with other great ones. With time he became the SO of the crew and learned a good deal about pirate-politics. As time went on, Xxtremexx (the captain) became bored with the game, and Piratecasey disappeared. Without the Captain and First Mate, Rise of Brutality crumbled, and merged with Rolling Thunder, the number one crew at the time.

It was in this period that he met two of his most influential mates, Yarsof and Sputty. He met Yarsof in an SF tourney, and after their matchup became Hearties. It was through Yarsof that Groby learned to SF efficiently. He learned tips for instas, and this helped him achieve the Legendary rank. He and Sputty became friends through being flag mates, then crew mates. Sputty introduced him to a lot of important pirates, and also brushed up Groby's skills. A combination of roadblocks, and the feeling that the game wasn't the same, caused him to throw in the towel. He gave all of his items away in a farewell tourney.

Through the influence of Yarsof, and the discovery that one of his best RL mates played, Grobyc made his return months later. At this time he was still a Rolling Thunder mate, and Sputty was in the process of reviving a struggling crew. Groby saw this as an opportunity to help out a good friend, and boost his name in the pirate world. He bit off more than he could chew, and the shame caused him to retire, only two weeks after he had made his return.

In March of 2008, Grobyc decided to return to the Viridian Ocean. Unfortunately time took it's toll, and Groby realized he wasn't much of a pirate anymore. Flotillas and Atlantis were all new to him, his skills had fallen dramatically, and all of his mates were long gone. The lack of good crews discouraged his piratey side, and he resorted to becoming an Inn-rat. All of his time was spent playing Poker, Hearts, and Swordfighting. Things took a positive turn however in the beginning of April. Piratecasey had made his return as well, and ended up finding Groby. Piratecasey got Grobyc into the crew, Royal Pillagers, and with it came motivation.

Groby recognized his captain, Amberash, from the old Imperial Coalition days, had one of his best mates back, and decided to improve his skills. He now spends much of his time online trying to capture the glory he once had, and become up-to-date with the new pirate world.
