Hoy there. I've moved your pirate page to a new page as the user page is more for your actual self rather than your pirate. --Whitemonkey 00:29, 31 October 2006 (PST)

Moving pages

Hoy there, the easiest way to move a page is to click the "move" button next to the edit and history buttons. You'll then be prompted with a couple of boxes saying where you want to move the page to (in the case of pirates, just type the name of the pirate) and also a dialogue box asking why you want to move the page (in your case it was "because it was in the wrong place"). After the page has been moved, you'll need to go back and remove the automatic redirects (just delete the text that is left on the old page). In order to start new pages in the correct place just a) do a search to make sure the page isn't already there, and b) type in the address that you want the page - e.g. for most things it's just http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/newpagehere or just click on the "create new page" text in red after doing a search for the new page.

Also for signing off on discussion pages, the easiest way to add your name is to type four tildes (~) in a row and your name and the date and time that you posted will be added automatically!

Moving pages part 2!

It's pretty easy really

  • Click the move tab at next to the history and edit tab
  • In the "To new title" box type in the new page you want it to be called (make sure there isn't already a page called that)
  • In the "Reason" box type in your reason for moving the page
  • Click "move page" and the page will be moved.

If you've got any more questions, ask away! --Whitemonkey 00:14, 6 November 2006 (PST)
