Reverts
Please read talk pages before reverting articles. Sometimes there is discussion before a change is made, as was the case on greeter. --Ponytailguy 23:09, 18 January 2007 (PST)
Spoilers
Please wait until the trophies are actually seen in the game (on the production oceans) before adding trophies. We know that a #1 and Ult TH trophy are out there, but as of today no one has an Ult, and no one has a #1. The OMs get picky about that. Sashamorning 07:53, 25 May 2007 (PDT)

It's his user: space, he can do with it as he wishes so long as he isn't breaking the Terms of Service. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 10:43, 27 May 2007 (PDT)
Correct Linking
I've answered your query regarding the correct linking question you asked in my talk page. -- Vorky 17:28, 27 May 2007 (PDT)
Categories & Linking
The categories that you are asking that Faulkston has added to some pages are there for alphabetical sorting on the Ocean crew pages. All the crew or flag names that start with "The" get a category added to them so they can be sorted by the word after "The".
As for links. Items should only be linked to once in an article. The exception to this is items that appear in an infobox can be linked to a second time. Links that appear more then once will be removed. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 21:52, 27 May 2007 (PDT)
- Also for any articles starting with A as well, full explanation on my user talk page -- Vorky 21:57, 27 May 2007 (PDT)
Flagid's and crewid's
When creating new pages for flags or crew can you also add the flagid/crewid? You can find these by going to http://OCEAN.puzzlepirates.com/yoweb/pirate.wm?target=PIRATENAME replacing the OCEAN with the ocean name and PIRATENAME with the pirates name, and then clicking on the link for the crew or flag, then the crewid/flagid will be in the URL of that page. Keep up the good work -- Vorky 22:06, 27 May 2007 (PDT)
- Thanks, I had asked Faulkstont earlier and was given a less scientific answer. I was still dumbfounded in trying to find those ID's when there was nothing else to go on to link into the page displaying the Url info I needed.--Biliter01 22:18, 27 May 2007 (PDT)
Twisted Fate
You did a good job on creating the disambiguation page. Could you help me go though the list of articles which now link to this disambiguation page and get them linked to the right article: Special:Whatlinkshere/Twisted Fate
Thanks. -- Faulkston 10:40, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
- I'd be more than happy to. Since your so much faster than I, you start on one end and I'll start on the other and meet you somewhere close to my end. HA!--Biliter01 10:46, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
- Excellent idea and thanks for the quick response. -- Faulkston 10:50, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
The Incredible Barnstar | ||
Thanks a ton for your maintenance edits! I realize it's a grind to fix up links to a disambiguation page but it's necessary to keep the YPPedia healthy. -- Faulkston 11:09, 28 May 2007 (PDT) |

Thanks for all your awesome work on the YPPedia so early in your YPPedia time! Asking questions is great - I wish I'd done as much as you. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 11:40, 28 May 2007 (PDT) |
Barnstars
I appreciate the kind words and while I didnt set out to dive deep into the Yppedia as an editor; I find its quite to my liking. I realize that with everything so cross-referenced its easy to create more workload unless you trace all the leads. I only hope to broaden my knowledge; especially in using the correct syntax and Templates. Thanks for the help and guidance.--Biliter01 11:51, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
Patience
Ahoy! Please be patient with new articles.. It is recommend that you wait 15 minutes before you attempt to edit something. The page Rustee is in the middle of being worked on by a new Yppedia editor. Don't discourge new editors so quickly. Fair winds! -- Cedarwings (t/c) 22:09, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
- Sure thing. I wasnt trying to discourage anyone from editng. It was to flag it for editors to watch in case it was a fly by poster.--Biliter01 22:13, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
- Ahoy! If you read the Yppedia:Editors Code of Conduct you will see that it recommends that you wait at least 15 minutes before you jump in on what someone is editing, especially if they are new to the Yppedia. Those tags, while necessary, can be scary to people that are new to the Yppedia. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 22:15, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
Ocean Masters' talk pages
In general, most OM's do not check their wiki user talk pages. It's best to ask questions of player admins or experienced looking editors. --Guppymomma 15:49, 30 May 2007 (PDT)
- I'll keep that in mind however we had a minor issue where a couple users were over editing and scrolling hte recent changes list faster than anyone could keep up. Both didnt respond to polite notices asking them to refrain from such behavior.--Biliter01 18:04, 30 May 2007 (PDT)
- I'm not sure what you're talking about. I'm talking about the note you left on Aphrodite's user talk page that she likely wouldn't see/answer. --Guppymomma 18:22, 30 May 2007 (PDT)
- Right, DUH! I confuse myself sometimes. My question was answered on her page though by Faulkston. In regards to my aformentioned comment; users user:jeffreysea2 and user:Yunathemage were repeatedly making minor edits. thanks.--Biliter01 18:30, 30 May 2007 (PDT)
Re: Signature
The signature looks great! Keep up the good work. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 22:38, 31 May 2007 (PDT)
Essence
It looks okay on my screen. The sentence is at the very top and the infobox is to the right. Or are you talking about something else? --Guppymomma 19:14, 19 June 2007 (PDT)
- What he's referring to is various CSS-related display issues in IE7. There is nothing that can be done about it, I'm afraid, except using Firefox. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 19:22, 19 June 2007 (PDT)
- Ah, I see, IE7 doesn't do clear:right properly. Only clear:all. How odd and silly. We could just incorporate crew/flag portraits into the table with the rest of the infobox stuff instead. --Guppymomma 19:52, 19 June 2007 (PDT)
- Aye, good idea. -- Thefirstdude (t/c) 19:56, 19 June 2007 (PDT)
Re: Heart of Greed
Ahoy! All fixed. The numberofislands parameter cannot be left blank. I added a zero in and it fixed the problem. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 15:00, 20 June 2007 (PDT)
Following a move...
Ahoy! After you have moved a page you can just tag it with a {{d}} (Usage) for speedy deletion rather then proposed for deletion. Fair winds! -- Cedarwings (t/c) 19:17, 22 June 2007 (PDT)
Frequency template
Please read the usage notes about when to use the {{Frequency}} (Usage) template. It has a great explanation by what is meant by a gajillion edits. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 21:05, 26 June 2007 (PDT)
