Ahoy! Nothing personal but I deleted the image you uploaded called Sedeuca.jpg as it is not the proper name for a portrait image to be uploaded under. If you add the {{Infobox pirate}} (Usage) template to that page, it will allow you add the portrait correctly to the page under the filename Image:Pirates-Sedeuca.jpg. You can kind of ignore that as I have added the Infobox pirate template to the Sedeuca page and uploaded the portrait under the correct file name. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 12:12, 3 September 2007 (PDT)

Uploading portrait images

Ahoy there! Thanks for taking the time to contribute to the YPPedia. However, you seem to be unaware of the conventions and rules that we use on this wiki. The recent portrait you uploaded of Rumsundae was faulty for three reasons:

  • It was uploaded to the wrong place (incorrect file name)
  • It was the wrong size
  • It lacked a portrait image tag

You can re-upload this image, provided you:

  • Place it at the right place: Pirates-Rumsundae.jpg
  • In the image summary, add the following text: {{portrait image}}

If you are still unsure about how to upload a pirate portrait, go to Howto:Upload a portrait for a more detailed tutorial.

You missed the one detail that you are not to save the image from the gallery as the thumbnails are not the correct portrait size for uploading. Save the portrait from either the pirate stats page or by clicking on the thumbnail so that it only has the one portrait on the page. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 08:20, 4 September 2007 (PDT)
I take that back... I see you managed to upload the correct image. Well done. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 08:21, 4 September 2007 (PDT)
