This page is a template Raggedjoe is using to decide how his new crew (coming soon!) will be like.
Begin in Proper:
Ahoy! I have been in many crews over the years (check my pirate page) and I have found that many crews fall (or do not fall) for the same reasons. I hope to build a crew from the start based on what I have found works and what doesn't work.
Good:
- Small group rules
- More Pirates than anything else
- More Officers than FOs and more FOs than SOs
- All Officers+ must be able to pillage
Bad:
- Many SOs
- No Officers
- No Cabin Persons
- SOs do not have a say in politics
- Hard promotion requirements
- Loose promotion requirements
Here are what I am thinking about for the crew.
Ranks
Cabin Person:
- Join
- The rank of Cabin Person is for pirates who are new to the game. As a Cabin they will learn the basic game mechanics and begin to understand more complex one (Like pillaging and Blockades).
Pirate:
- BROAD Sailing, Bilging, and Carpentry; DISTINGUISHED rank in one of them
- The rank of Pirate is for pirates who are mastering the complex game mechanics. Pirates are expected to join pillages and learn Battle Navigation from the navy. Pirates will NOT be allowed to Bnav on pillages.
Officer:
- BROAD Sailing, Bilging, Carpentry, and Gunning; DISTINGUISHED rank in two of them and RESPECTED rank in one of them
- Narrow and DISTINGUISHED rank in Bnav
- Narrow in Swordfighting
- The rank of Officer is for pirates who are mastering the art of Battle Navigation. Officers are expected to pillage on their own, join other officers' pillages, and take an active role in the crew.
Fleet Officer
- SOLID Sailing, Bilging, Carpentry, and DISTINGUISHED rank in two of them
- SOLID and RESPECTED rank in Bnav
- BROAD in every Piracy stat
