A pirate (Shy Lamora) recieved several mysterious pictures in her private mailbox. This pirate admits she is generally not a drinker, however, after a crazy night of pillaging, she returned to her villa and proceeded to gulp down an entire bottle of rum. Needless to say, she booched many /tells and /crew chats that night...this she admits. She promptly passed out.

When she awoke, she was sent these images:



The images were accompanied by this note: "Dear Lamora, to honor your drunken booch-fest, we've sent images based on some of your better chat-booches. Figure them out, and we'll give you some "sleep"...hehehehe! ~ Your adoring crew!

Solution

As written by Drewboo (ignore statements about the colors):

• the drunken pirate was talking about pets and familiars as we all so often do.

• picture 1: the green parrot - green rot on a pear (green pear rot)

• picture 2: panther with a blue collar - blue pant tear (blue panther)

• picture 3: red monkey - a buddist monk in red holding a key (red monk's key)

• i started with writing words about the picture and said them in different orders till i heard something. the monk was 1st with the pear quickly following. the jeans took a little longer untill i expanded my possible answers to include pets.

• as for the reward im guessing a sheep. it sounds like sleep. and we count sheep to fall asleep.

The guild recognizes a few entries that brought up good points and will address them:

• Picture 2 could have been 'torn-knee' or 'Tourney', right? It could, however, there was a theme to all the pictures and the prize. Even the title of the puzzle is a riff off of the phrase "Screwed the pooch".

• The prize is a 'sloop'...as it sounds like 'sleep'. I suppose it depends on your accent, however, the Guild argues that 'sheep' sounds more similar to 'sleep'...and it's all in the theme.
