Template talk:Switch

From YPPedia

So I'm fairly certain this template isn't working like I'd hoped at first. The idea is shamelessly taken from Wikipedia, in that we could change Template:Timebox to display actual times across the world (as well as display PST instead of UTC) with some complicated if-then templates. However, this template doesn't appear to be working. Check out Wikipedia:Template talk:Switch and see if there's anything I might be missing to enable this template to work properly. --Yaten talk 10:26, 2 April 2006 (PDT)

Wikipedia has a world time box here, although I'm not too sure whether that's really helpful. Pasting the template given on Wikipedia's Switch template on a page doesn't seem to work either. Perhaps a setting needs to be enabled in MediaWiki? --Nicksterv (t/c) 11:57, 2 April 2006 (PDT)
Yep, the time box at Wikipedia involves several if-then templates that call for other templates as parameters. They all use the "switch" template for an if-then-else template reponse to things like the current minute, current hour, current weekday, etc. So if switch is broken, they're all broken, but I'm not sure why it's not working here. --Yaten talk 13:31, 2 April 2006 (PDT)
