Ocean Disambig Proposal

I propose using a different disambiguation template (putting those pages in another category) for pages dealing with the same island/arch on two different oceans. This is because people usually make sure that no articles are listed in Special:Disambiguations. However, in pages such as Wood, Charcoal Island is listed as Cobalt/Viridian, so that the link MUST be to Charcoal Island instead of a non-existant "intended" article.

I propose this:

Might be easier than I thought at first. We can just change Template:CobVir to add the new category for now, and we'd need to remove Category:Disambiguation from those pages. AySz88^-^ 11:51, 24 August 2005 (PDT)

Actually, it's still valid. Take a look at {{CobVir}} ^(Usage). You'll see that a whole bunch of island disambiguation pages use it.^[1] It's a little crufty but has served us well. --Barrister 00:27, 19 March 2008 (PDT)

Hm, the uses I see use {{CobVir}} ^(Usage) together with this template - it's the DO NOT use this template-part that's a bit strange. Another thing, not sure if {{AzuMid}} ^(Usage) should be mentioned together with {{CobVir}} ^(Usage). --Alfwyn 05:02, 19 March 2008 (PDT)
