Talk:Thanos

From YPPedia

The trimming down left the negative aspects of the character in, while removing much of the positive. I'm all for shortening things, but I have to agree with Parthanos, as little as I'd like to do that, that this entry is not very balanced as it stands. Furthermore, my charactization of it being for "varried reasons" instead of "internal conflict" is more accurate. Remember, I was actually there when he left and was privy to the discusion surrounding it-and consulted both Misery and Thanos as to their take on this. -Rome

Ah. I see what happened. I booched the timeline. Thanos left, then Misery was in charge, and *then* there was conflict. I'll touch that up now. Please let me know what else should be added/edited to make this a more complete page. In my defense, I posted to the main forums the last time I saw Thanos' name crop up, and I asked for people to make edits. No one did. --Barrister 15:42, 6 February 2006 (PST)
I'll swing by when I have a moment to see if I can stare at the paragraph Barrister mentions in his post and suggest some sort of wording to get the gist of it in a more neutrally kinda way. --Guppymomma 21:26, 6 February 2006 (PST)
"Thanos was a complex character who was viewed differently by all who interacted with him. He was an involved monarch: feared by his enemies, loved by his crew and flag. He effected a fierce loyalty in some; they followed his leadership, even into retirement from the game." Would something like that rough draft do well enough? As for other information, someone else has to fill that in as his major days were before my entering the political/flag interaction arena. --Guppymomma 07:03, 7 February 2006 (PST)
Hrm, I thought that his reasons for leaving were publicly disclosed. *shrugs* It really doesn't talk at all about the building of the CT alliance, and the friendship he built with the orginial Imperio, or the the colonization of Xi in both Azure and Midnight. -Jacktheblack 06:38, 7 February 2006 (PST)
