Plain dresser

The image for the plain dresser doesn't seem to work. --Barrister 21:31, 10 August 2005 (PDT)

It's working okay for me. I can try to upload it again to see if that gets the image propagation excited enough to make sure it's propagated. --Guppymomma 21:33, 10 August 2005 (PDT)
Hmm. Appears to be something on my end. I can see it in Safari, but not Firefox. --Barrister 21:58, 10 August 2005 (PDT)

Sword Rack

Having trouble with the description, "Allows you to store your swords.", does this halt decay? this is a big thing, we should annotate it. I've searched the forums, but "sword rack" brings back no results. --J 2005-08-19T12:01:51+1000

I think it works like clothing racks. It ages when you add/remove the object. --Guppymomma 19:19, 18 August 2005 (PDT)

Attempted editing

I attempted to edit the entries for Broken wheel, Bunk, and all of the wall lamps to indicate "This item may not be placed on a sloop" but none of the edits stuck. What might I be doing wrong, or is there some kind of approval I need to get before editing?--Crooktooth 16:01, 30 August 2005 (PDT)

I don't see anything wrong. Are you sure you clicked "Save page" instead of "Show preview"? There's also a known bug involving cookies; you maybe running into that. FYI, it would be more appropriate to put the information about the sloop furniture issues on the sloop page. That will keep this page more manageable. Thanks! --Barrister 10:10, 31 August 2005 (PDT)
I definatley used "save page". Odd. I was putting the warning on the furniture page so other shoppers would not waste their PoE on items they cannot place. In the interest of completeness it should probably be added in both areas.--Crooktooth 13:26, 31 August 2005 (PDT)
It's the cookie issue. If you sit there and keep hitting save, you may eventually randomly hit the server that your cookie originated, allowing you to save. Other advice includes checking the remember me box when you log in to the wiki and switching your browser to allow cookies from everyone & their brother during your wiki editing session. --Guppymomma 14:37, 31 August 2005 (PDT)

Wardrobe & mug & sword racks

Perhaps we should incorporate this info somewhere about the specifics of how things age when using a rack? Not sure where to put it. Maybe the decay page? --Guppymomma 07:54, 2 September 2005 (PDT)

peghead, on august 9th wrote: We're making some last minute changes: A wardrobe (sword rack, etc) will only be able to hold a limited number of items. We will be doing a few follow-up releases to fix things up in housing, and we will definitely fix this up so that items in a wardrobe age the same way that tailor racks do (which will also change slightly). They will always age either 0 or 1 day when racked. 0 days if you take it back off during the same day, or 1 day for all other cases. In other words, they'll age a maximum of 1 day when racked. (Again though, this isn't in there yet, it will be in a follow-up release.)

Fancy Bed

There's a new recipe for it on Ice – 10 wood, 2 iron, 5 lacquer, 10 fine navy, 5 fine blue, 5 white enamel; labor is the same. – Yaten talk 20:38, 12 October 2005 (PDT)

Bunk

The bunk is placed in the Floor section, but isn't it really a wall item? The thing that distinguishes it from most other wall items is the fact that it can be placed on the wall of a sloop (which is where mine is). --Thunderbird 01:32, 30 October 2005 (PDT)

Aesthetically, it belongs next to a wall. But, I believe it's really placed as a floor item. It juts out too far into the room to be a wall item. All other wall items have no real depth. Of course, the best way to verify this is to buy one and try it out. --Barrister 09:11, 30 October 2005 (PST)
Tried it out, It Must be connected to a wall, and a visible wall. The GF has bunks on the south west wall, but ye can't place yer own, at least inside sloops and GFs. Why would this be the case? it has four views...
Hmm. That's just weird. I'm going to buy one and play with it for a bit. --Barrister 12:10, 29 January 2006 (PST)
Well, whaddya know? The bunk has four views but must be attached to a wall. Which limits it to two views. --Barrister 00:04, 31 January 2006 (PST)

A pig in a poke

On Ice right now, my Pig looks like a pumpkin. --Barrister 21:10, 29 November 2005 (PST)

Think it's been that way for awhile. Roparzh had a pumpkin patch in his manor when I saw it a couple weeks ago. --Thunderbird 21:22, 29 November 2005 (PST)
Jackspeed's piglet on Sage is also a pumpkin. It's in the distillery on Kent. I think it changed with the last update. Zava 21:33, 29 November 2005 (PST)

Rumble Pit

(Stupid Enter key =P) So, does anyone think it'd be a bit early to guess that the rumble pit will cost 10 doubloons? --Thunderbird 00:18, 29 March 2006 (PST)

No Page Match for Eggs?

The eggs are on the furniture page where they belong, but when I type "Egg" into the search bar, it doesn't give any page matches. It should turn up the furniture page and probably the portrait page, too. --Benzene265 18:53, 1 April 2006 (PST)

Just noticed this comment. I've made a sorta disambiguation page for egg/eggs. Hopefully that'll do the trick. --Guppymomma 18:57, 19 April 2006 (PDT)

New items (april '06)

I uploaded all the images for the new furniture items, but only added the recipe for clawfoot tub. Can someone else get these? Also, it looks like I forgot to label the tub as "Ice only". --Barrister 17:13, 14 April 2006 (PDT)

Can you do me a favour and nab the 'Bench with back' image. I'm taking care of the recipes--Sagacious 17:23, 14 April 2006 (PDT)
Nabbed! --Barrister 17:39, 14 April 2006 (PDT)
Vase go on table, Potted palm on floor?I'm taking an educated guess... --Sagacious 17:54, 14 April 2006 (PDT)

All new recipes done. --Sagacious 18:23, 14 April 2006 (PDT)

Nemo has given some doubloon costs with this post. Do we want to put them in now, or wait until the bar segments come out (due to the possibility of changes)? --Thunderbird 01:27, 15 April 2006 (PDT)

I'd wait until we have all the doubloon costs for the new items. It's a faff fishing thru that page. --Sagacious 02:44, 15 April 2006 (PDT)
Has any had a chance to verify the final recipes against the ones from Ice? Also, the new items need to be added to the various commodity pages as end products. --Barrister 12:00, 21 April 2006 (PDT)
Tis on my list of things to do - Doing it now. --Sagacious 12:10, 21 April 2006 (PDT)

Page reorganization

It sure is. Following the gorgeous example on the Portrait Items page, I have reorganized the floor furniture by function in my sandbox, User:Benzene265/sandbox. Feel free to further subdivide "Props". It needs it.--Benzene265 16:19, 19 April 2006 (PDT)

I find it easier to sort through than the in-game sorting because this list is sorted alphabetically. And that is our standard for lists like this. --Thunderbird 16:20, 19 April 2006 (PDT)
The rather large and slighty ugly Template:Furniture section is under editing User:Sagacious/Sandbox/Furniture_template - in an attempt to organise it better. --Sagacious 16:25, 19 April 2006 (PDT)
I like having it sorted out. I think it would be nice to have items you can't buy in a separate section (pigs, tortoises, etc). --Fannon 16:28, 19 April 2006 (PDT)
I strongly support reorganizing by some sort of categorization. That being said, "portrait items" should not be a separate category since bundles of cloth have nothing to do with eggs. Also, I wouldn't quite create a "not for sale" category because that would cause the eggs to be split into 2 groups. --Barrister 17:05, 19 April 2006 (PDT)
How about 'limited edition'? Would cover Eggs, Christmas trees, anything else in the future. Could have a note about being purchasable or not where the usage notes are now. --Zava 19:04, 19 April 2006 (PDT)
I changed Portrait items to Limited Edition and put the Christmas Tree, animals, monument, and fountain in there. I moved the cloth back to Props along with the Portrait Easel. I don't think the Easel fitns in there because it's functional, but I don't want to make a Category of One. Also, for Thunderbird's sake, I put the categories in alphabetical order. --Benzene265 20:33, 19 April 2006 (PDT)

When we decide on appropriate sub-categories - I'll implement them on the template I'm working on. --Sagacious 19:21, 19 April 2006 (PDT)

Familiars in wardrobe?

Since I do not have a familiar, I cannot test this, but presumably if a familiar can be placed in a standard wardrobe, it would also go in a fancy wardrobe? Pip's last change was made only on the former, not both. --Rixation(t/c) 13:11, 30 May 2006 (PDT)

We've traded mine back and forth using a fancy wardrobe before. Weirdest thing ever, but it does work. --Zava 13:30, 30 May 2006 (PDT)

Missing items

We appear to be missing two eggs: Kitt's and Prometheus'. --Barrister 02:30, 20 July 2006 (PDT)

I'll get 'em out of my inventory later today. --Guppymomma 05:58, 20 July 2006 (PDT)

Skeleton furniture help!

I've uploaded the five images: Gibbet, Pile of bones, Skeleton chair, Skeleton table, and Tombstone. However, as I am a freeloader, I can't see the recipes & stuff. So maybe one of you able to see that info fellow intrepid wiki editors could add them to this table. Style it after the Festive fir's entry with a note that it's Halloween furniture. --Guppymomma 19:04, 25 October 2006 (PDT)

According to Nemo: "The bony furniture will stay year-round, and be purchasable year-round." http://forums.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=49643&offset=60 --Kierra214 12:59, 26 October 2006 (PDT)

I've added the recipe info - some of the images didn't turn out quite right it seems. 'Skeleton in shackles' image is missing. --Sagacious (talk) 19:39, 26 October 2006 (PDT)
I'm obviously hallucinating that there's only five new pieces. I'll go nab the pic along with the missing present image (unless that's not available anymore or something). Thanks for doing the adding. --Guppymomma 19:44, 26 October 2006 (PDT)
While you're doing that - could you try grabbing the Skeleton chair and Gibbet images again - they turned out kinda small the first time :) --Sagacious (talk) 19:47, 26 October 2006 (PDT)
I just rechecked those, they're not lowres. They're exactly as they show up in game. Unless there's something with how IE is rendering them, that's what they are. You can try doing 'em yourself. Do you want to update the evil giant furniture table template or shall I? --Guppymomma 19:59, 26 October 2006 (PDT)
Nevermind about the images. I'm spacing out and forgetting the right side view shows them differently than the left side thingee. Fiddler's spearheading redoing them for us. Mea culpa, thanks for being more observant and less spacey than me :) --Guppymomma 20:05, 26 October 2006 (PDT)

The skeleton in shackles looks like wall furniture. Has anyone checked it yet? Thanks! --Barrister 01:03, 27 October 2006 (PDT)

  • Logic failure* It has to be as it only has two views :P --Sagacious (talk) 03:51, 27 October 2006 (PDT)
Quite a few floor items only have one or two views. Take a look at the list before you assume things. --Zava 04:17, 27 October 2006 (PDT)
Hrm - I added them to the list incorrectly, when I took another look at them, it makes sense they only have 2 views and are kinda standing upright in mid air...In other words I was kinda insulting myself :P --Sagacious (talk) 04:23, 27 October 2006 (PDT)
