Talk:Event E2/Proposal weefreeman
It may be possible to have the infected crew as brigands at least to start off with but how would the umpires know if someone has been knocked out. Also how would the players be told which courses they are able to sail on, unless they are all jobbed into a crew but then they cant nav or gun. ~~OP wrote in the workship section.
Suggestions
If using the Brigands as infected, you'd almost certainly have to require all entrants join your crew before the event. Join it, not job for it, but actually leave their crew to join yours, so that you could verify their vessel logs after the race. This will decrease participation somewhat, how much depends on how excited your event gets them. I wouldn't recommend it when you already have a better way! If you have real people on infected ships, they can check their logs, and nobody else has to leave their crew.
As for how to tell the players their courses and the rules of the event, you can still job them over to your crew for that. Either job them to your crew, and give the rules over your crew chat (their jobbing crew chat), OR, start your event on a large ship in your crew, and job the participants there, give out the rules and answer questions, and then send everybody off to their own ships.
I really hope you are able to get those 5 infected attacker ships. If you are organized, and especially put a great deal of effort into getting the word out for this event, it sounds like it has the potential to be a blast!--Muroni 05:51, 9 February 2006 (PST)
