I am aware that teams can by their way straight into the tier 3 prizes. I consider it an interesting game theory choice. Do you assure yourself a prize or accrue experience by participating in the first round. I would not be averse to dropping/altering the tier 3 prizes. --Nalanthi

Blockades and Fame

To start a blockade, some flag has to drop a warchest. Are the competing flags going to do that? Is that part of their entry fee? What size islands will the matchs be at? If it's a large island, then that prevents many flags from participating if they don't have the fame to drop a chest. I don't think you can have two blockades at the same island on the same weekend, which means you'll need 4 islands for matches 1 and 2 or postpone matches 2 and 3 for a week. Finally, What happens if the first place flag doesn't have the fame to hold a large island? -- B_licker

If you look down in the OM assitance section I mention that I need OM's to set the blockades up. If the first place flag does not have the fame to hold a large island they will have to be very assidious in defending it as they will not be able to retake it if they lose it. --Nalanthi

I think what B_licker is asking, Nalanthi, is regarding the rules. Currently, if My flag goes and wins a blockade, we are not allowed to transfer the island to another flag unless that flag already has the fame necessary that they could have taken the island themselves. If a flag enters your contest and wins an island they do not have the fame for, the Ringers would be breaking their own rules in awarding them the prize, which they are not likely to do. You may wish to consider different prizes, and I see you are putting more thought into different prize schemes, so good job with that. --Muroni 06:04, 9 February 2006 (PST)

Honestly I don't expect the island prize scheme to actually happen. If it were then that is one of the things I would have to work out with the mentors. Currently if a flag falls below the fame level to hold one of their islands they don't lose it. They simply can't attack it if the happen to lose the island. So I think that the OM's could still give them the island. If the OM's don't want to they would simply have to choose another prize.
