Talk:Admiral Island (Sage)
Is the apothecary list alphabetized properly? I know in some place the "A" doesn't count for the order, but just wanted to be sure. --Fannon 23:50, 25 February 2006 (PST)
- "A" and "The" should always be ignored when alphabetizing. --Barrister 01:04, 26 February 2006 (PST)
I believe this is missing the shipyard Princess Brig, but can't log on to check upgrade status. Confirm? -Pauling
- A lot of new buildings were missing. I've added them all, and marked upgrades as well. --Barrister 11:45, 14 May 2006 (PDT)
Buildings Dusting
Well i'm a bit ahead of time but a few shoppes will be dusting in Admiral in the next weeks. Was wondering what's the policy on dusted shoppes. Should they remain listed with a note on the side? Or entirely removed from building list? And what about the ones with an individual page? --Cecidrake 23:51, 25 December 2006 (PST)
- There's no formal policy. I usually make sure the building names remain on the island page identified as former buildings. There are a handful of ex-buildings with their own pages, but there's no particular policy about them. The general rule is to avoid deleting information, but finding a way to archive it instead. --Barrister 23:57, 25 December 2006 (PST)
- Ty Barrister. Any examples you can think of so i can take a look? Island or building pages? --Cecidrake 11:42, 26 December 2006 (PST)
- On the Eta Island (Midnight) page, the destroyed buildings are listed in the History section. --Barrister 13:26, 26 December 2006 (PST)
Buildings Dusted or Renamed
I was going through the Admiral building list and have found a few buildings that have wiki pages that are MIA. Don't really know what to with their pages. I'm going to try and find out what happened to them, but in the meantime I was thinking that maybe a little template would be nice to add to building pages which are made but we don't know if they dusted or got renamed. I was thinking something in the lines of "This building has dusted or renamed and its no longer present in game as this page states". The other way to go would be to just delete the pages of said buildings, but that doesn't agree much with the "keep historical info on wiki" policy. What do you guys think? --Cecidrake 03:03, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not entirely sure what you mean by MIA. Basically, however, if you find a building on the island with an erected date that matches that on only one building listed on the wiki, it generally means it was renamed. If that makes any sense. If there's no page there in the first place, it doesn't really matter overmuch. --Belthazar451 03:24, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Most of them probably have been renamed, my question then is... what to do with the building page? Leave it with the old name and leave the new name with a red link? Move it to the new name?. --Cecidrake 03:29, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Move it to the new name. --Belthazar451 03:40, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- I think mentioning the rename on the building page after moving would be a good idea. --Alfwyn 12:34, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ok done, moved the renames and added note about it. Thanks for the feedback mates!--Cecidrake 14:46, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
