Raining Cats and Grog is a left-facing, upgraded distillery shoppe on Cranberry Island. It was erected in October 2004 under the governance of the flag Trans-Atlantic Empire. Originally given to They Might Be Pirates to end the continual blockades of the island, the shoppe was relatively quickly sold to Simply Pirates after hostilities had ceased. The shoppe has been in continual operations by Simply Pirates since then.

Raining Cats and Grog continues the basic Cranberry Island naming scheme of animal and critter related names and puns. This building was named after the small, domesticated feline, the cat and is a play on the phrase "raining cats and dogs" which means "raining heavily".
