Myvatn Island is a medium island in the Horse Head Archipelago. There are three known routes from the island: Barnard Island, Lyonesse Island, and an inter-archipelago route to Immokalee Island in the Canis Archipelago.

A rock on the northern side of the island reads, "This island were fashioned by Yngvild."

This island is named for lake Mývatn in northern Iceland.
