GCPP:Round 3 Proposal Summaries

From YPPedia

Contents

Carp

Arrange colored cubes into required shapes and patterns. Inspirations: Popcap Chuzzle, Y!PP Shipwrightery, Y!PP Duty Navigation, GCPP Haddock
A prototype is available for this proposal.
Check it out and contribute to the design!

Cisco

A customizable card game. The pieces are used to build clothing (or furniture) parts, similar to the concept of ship parts being built for shipwright. Unlike most games on YPP, this has no enemy -- no time limit, no clock, etc. It is modeled much like a solitaire card game -- you, a deck, and a goal.

Danio

Towers of Hanoi with extra pieces and rules, with a bit of Mastermind and Freecell for flavor.
A prototype is available for this proposal.
Check it out and contribute to the design!

Feinte

Similar to Cake Mania mixed with the Spore creature creator. Objective: Create a piece of furniture according to a customer's given parameters.

Fredi

Tangrams with wet paint! Objective: Use stencils and paint in the right sequence to recreate a given design to add the finishing touches to furniture items ~ be careful ~ wet paint!
A prototype is available for this proposal.
Check it out and contribute to the design!

Gilthead

Stack blocks to make table legs strong enough to bear a given weight. The more attractive the legs are (based on vertical and horizontal matching), the better.
A prototype is available for this proposal.

Gourami

To Finish building furniture by matching groups of material in blocks of 3 or more.

Herring

Move piece(s) or row(s) of pieces and affix them to create appropriate patterns before sending the assembled product to the right end of the board.

Hirling

Like shipwrightery, create pieces by manipulating blocks of different marerials however blocks are moved by firing blocks into the central playing board from all directions.

Loach

A progressive tile matching game based on in-game furniture. Match up multiple tiles based on a list for a particular type of furniture.

Loosejaw

Arrange and nail the wood pieces that come sliding from the conveyor belt into furniture pieces.
A prototype is available for this proposal.
Check it out and contribute to the design!

Mariggle

Fundamentally, it is a falling blocks puzzle, except we allow the user to rotate and position the piece at the top of the screen before pressing the 'drop' key, giving a time-relaxed turn-based feel to the game as is appropriate for crafting puzzles.
A prototype is available for this proposal.

Molly

A linear puzzle based on the idea that in real-life good craftsmanship, all the grains in a plank of wood must flow continuously. Create planks of wood in as few moves as possible on the gameboard by switching different 'grain patterns.' (pieces)

Mudcat

Drag peices of wood, cloth, ect.. off a moving conveyor belt into the different furniture molds.

Mullet

Cut a piece of wood into the specified shapes, minimizing waste, and maximizing value. Similar elements to Carpentry and Shipwrightery.
A prototype is available for this proposal.
Check it out and contribute to the design!

Rasbora

A furnishing puzzle loosely based on the card game blackjack. Use the pieces (boards) provided to reach an exact number (for example, 21).

Sanddab

A furnishing puzzle hybrid of 'Lights Out' & 'Destruct-o-match' (Son of Projects Manta and Guppy). Use enamel to color rectangular areas of wood the same color, then cut them out for varnishing.

Sargo

Similar to Tetris, but with the goal of filling the board instead of keeping it clear.

Shad

Rotate sections of cloth to increase patches of color.
