With the addition of new features to ICE would there be any benefit to also trackig the ICE release here?

Ice's changelog (http://ice.puzzlepirates.com/docs/changelog.html) isn't permanent, and Ice releases are almost always released to the three main oceans within a few days or weeks. I don't think it's necessary.--Yaten 21 July 2005 15:52 (PDT)

Linking release note info

Now that the wiki is on puzzlepirates.com, this page seems a bit redundant over the main release notes at /news/releases. The only real advantage this page has is the anchored released notes. In order to make this page helpful, it might not be a bad idea to go through and wikify everything with links. I think this would be handy, especially, for game mechanics that were phased out (such as commodity foraging).

That being said, this page is also a pain to cut and paste. I would guess half the release notes are here now, though. The page is 35 kilobytes, so maybe we should break into subpages? Release (2005), Release (2004), and Release (2003) would be fairly simple and would make each page about 30 kilobytes (excepting 2003's page, which would be shorter). – Yaten talk 22 July 2005 07:55 (PDT)

I've started linkage for the July '05 and June '05 updates. Thoughts? – Yaten talk 29 July 2005 13:09 (PDT)
It's got a good beat, and you can dance to it. (Which is to say: I like it.) --AtteSmythe 29 July 2005 14:55 (PDT)
It could be easier to just do Release (date) as the page names because that would be easiest to link to using the release template without having to change the template instances. That would also make the releases more searchable. --Guppymomma 30 July 2005 14:40 (PDT)
I like it, though it's harder to watch for abuse — Callistan (talk/contrib) 00:58, 1 August 2005 (PDT)
We could just mark all release pages as "protected" once they're fully wiki-linked. --Barrister 02:03, 1 August 2005 (PDT)

Let's split this giant siamese twin of an article!

I'm suggesting using the article name of Date Release so the release template can easily be adjusted for this split. Also a category of releases on each of the pages. Any opposition to this system? This page is really getting beyond gigantic. --Guppymomma 19:41, 1 September 2005 (PDT)

Dates not right?

The years for the first and second post-launch dates are wrong, aren't they? Shouldnt they both be 2003? --Shro0m 00:04, 25 September 2005 (PDT)

Yup, fixed. Thanks for catching that! – Yaten talk 08:04, 25 September 2005 (PDT)

Link still needed?

Do we still need the link on this page to the "official external link"

External Links Official Y!PP Release Notes Page Retrieved from "http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/Release"

As far as I can tell http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/Release is not being updated, whereas the Wiki page was. --Spelunk

Broken Link

The link for the Official Release notes no longer works. --Ynahteb 04:37, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
