Basic whirlpool movement

From open entrance

If a sloop enters from any of the following starting positions, using just the one token shown to enter the whirlpool,

Using Blue token
Using Green token
Using Gold token


then the whirlpool will move the sloop in this pattern.

After one time tick
After two time ticks
After three time ticks
After four time ticks


From closed entrance

If a sloop enters from any of the following starting positions, using just the one token shown to enter the whirlpool,

Using Blue token
Using Green token
Using Gold token


then the whirlpool will move the sloop in this pattern.

Inside the whirlpool

Blue token to walk in place

Using Blue token to walk in place
After using Blue token

A ship that is already in the whirlpool, with its rear touching a closed entrance can use a blue token to walk in place.

Gold token to jump ahead

After using Gold token

A ship that is already in the whirlpool, with its rear touching an open entrance can use a gold token to jump ahead. This can also be considered flipping the ship.

Green token to switch corners

Using Green token from Open Entrance
After using Green token from Open

A ship that is already in the whirlpool, with its rear touching any entrance can use a green token to switch the corners that it bounces between.

Using Green token from Closed Entrance
After using Green token from Closed
