From YPPedia

Welcome to the wiki. Take a look at Help:Creating an article for detailed instructions on giving your flag or crew's article a polished & professional look. Also look at YPPedia:Policy for policies and guidelines for the entire wiki, including adding articles on individual pirates.--Fiddler 17:09, 5 September 2005 (PDT)

Article titles

Hidey ho. I've undone your change to NExUs because the title is still technically wrong (it should be nExUs). This is due to mediawiki always capitalizing the first letter of article names. --Guppymomma 15:15, 13 November 2006 (PST)

Aaaah I'm sorry :( --Thefirstdude 15:17, 13 November 2006 (PST)

User pages

Ahoy, just wanted to let you know that generally we do not patrol user pages. They are for the user to do with what they like (barring things against the ToS & YPPedia rules) and are not to be marked with cleanup, thirdperson or any of those tags. Thanks! --Guppymomma 09:36, 19 November 2006 (PST)

Pirate info template & pirate pages

Just FYI, you can include more than one pirate in the pirate infobox. See Barrister for one implementation. --Guppymomma 08:50, 28 January 2007 (PST)

Oh I see! Thank you very much! I will change Siryn to match in just a second. The pirate info template has some potentially much broader uses, however, such as on my own user page where the boxy format of the pirate infobox is not appropriate. -- Thefirstdude 08:59, 28 January 2007 (PST)
No problem, I recognize the utility of it. Just thought you might want to know about the pirate infobox flexibility for standard pirate articles. Carry on :) --Guppymomma 09:01, 28 January 2007 (PST)
Actually, looking at it again, the way I did it on Siryn's page does not lend itself well to using the pirate infobox. Although I could definitely put the descriptive labels separately from the links, it seems more convenient and sensible to put them together like I did. -- Thefirstdude 09:03, 28 January 2007 (PST)
P.S. ye sniped me :) So, thankee for the info - I'm sure I'll find it useful at some point :)

Deletion tags

Hidey ho. Just FYI, you can simply mark the template page or whatever with a delete. Don't create a talk page for it just to ask for deletion because then there are two to delete instead of one ;) --Guppymomma 17:35, 31 January 2007 (PST)

Heh, I realized that right after I did it... Sorry. --Thefirstdude 19:11, 31 January 2007 (PST)

Warnings

--~~~~ --Guppymomma 20:54, 3 February 2007 (PST)

Thank you very much :) I promise I'll stop asking weird (and stupid) questions now! --Thefirstdude 6:31, 4 February 2007 (PST)
Forgot to add a further note that you should feel free to use that subst:test thing to warn users after you revert one of their obviously wacky edits, like on the Attesmythe page today. Besides warning the user, it leaves a record on the talk page in case they do more vandalism or inappropriate edits and need blocking. That way one can see it easily without having to go through the contributions page to the history page of articles they've edited to check and see if previous bad editing has been done. Thanks! --Guppymomma 21:09, 9 February 2007 (PST)

Thank you for your help!

Hi, I wanted to thank you for editing my page. I tried to get my alt-stats proper working, but it did not really work out as I wanted it. ;) But now it works nice, as I wanted thanks to you, so again thanks :).Amelie poule 04:24, 16 February 2007 (PST)

Always appreciate a thanks, so thanks :) Glad it worked out. --Thefirstdude 13:50, 16 February 2007 (PST)

Linking "trick"

Example: Tailoring is a short way to obtain the same link effect as Tailoring. -- Faulkston 13:59, 18 February 2007 (PST)

Ah, d'oh... It used to only link the part with the around it. Guess times have changed... and I haven't paid any attention. Thanks, and sorry. -- Thefirstdude 14:04, 18 February 2007
Not a problem. It just saves a bit of typing. -- Faulkston 14:06, 18 February 2007 (PST)
