OM Eggs

Those sure look familiar >.> I have a whole lot of them here Demeter and Mnemosyne have been shopped and Bungleton was made by someone else in the classic Rhegg style. --Benzene265 00:23, 16 March 2008 (PDT)

Oh, that's the source of them. Are you trying to say that all those eggs are in the game or do we have to be on the lookout which eggs actually make it ? And what about the time they appeared ? I think the Prometheus egg was available last year, but the others appeared with this years easter update. Is that right ? --Alfwyn 10:04, 17 March 2008 (PDT)
Although there are additional Ringer Eggs in the game files, those eggs should not be added to the wiki until they have been seen in-game. I've seen Prometheus and Apollo, and I've seen reliable reports of Hypnos. I'm not sure who's seen a Demeter egg. The rest are as yet undiscovered. --Barrister 11:12, 17 March 2008 (PDT)
I found a portrait of an Endymion egg, but I didn't add it to portrait item because I'm not sure if it is player obtainable (from his gallery on Opal). --Alfwyn 11:15, 17 March 2008 (PDT)
Err, I'd say that most of them have been "discovered" already. --Fiddler 11:26, 17 March 2008 (PDT)
Oh, joy. There's no way I can update the web pages for at least another 2 days. If someone wants to add these to the following pages, that'd be helpful: egg, portrait item, list of floor furniture, list of seasonal furniture, and the various "Furniture (x to y)" pages. Feel free to make the edits without creating high-quality transparent images. I've got the image files ready to go when necessary. Also, it might be worth making the egg section of portrait item be 5 columns wide. --Barrister 17:01, 17 March 2008 (PDT)
Every one of those eggs is in Viridian Rhodin's inventory right now. I'll coat the floor of some lucky scene I own after I finally get portraits with all of them. --Benzene265 23:32, 17 March 2008 (PDT)
Ill take the job of adding the other OM eggs to this page (Egg). However, images of the OM eggs have been uploaded such as Ringer Egg Amphitrite Rendered.png, could a admin move those eggs to the approate file name with the correct tag? Or do they have to be re-uploaded to the correct name & tag? --Instantflash 08:51, 18 March 2008 (PDT)
Those are the images of Rhodins (Benzene265) egg designs rendered. The actual eggs in the game might look slightly different. --Alfwyn 09:01, 18 March 2008 (PDT)
No, that's the right tag. The Ringer Eggs were originally fanart. Furthermore, since that's Amphitrite, that one will likely never be released in any angle or with any photoshopped hats. --Benzene265 22:13, 18 March 2008 (PDT)

I've updated all the relevant pages. Rhodin, you should be credited for the Ringer eggs. Do you have a preference for how the credit should be worded? --Barrister 23:31, 18 March 2008 (PDT)

A little stamp on the bottom of each egg that says "Made in Rhodinland."? Based on the tells I get, it's clear that everyone knows I did make them regardless of credit. It doesn't matter to me whether they're attributed to Rhodin, Ghyslaine, or Benzene265.--Benzene265 21:24, 21 March 2008 (PDT)

2008 Nordenx Egg

Is it really a egg? It is not avalible at the palace shop in-game, however it is listed as a winner by the poe mail letter. So... should it be added? --Instantflash 08:49, 18 March 2008 (PDT)

Well, there's a portrait with it. Given out in tournaments (Egg Drop Soup automated tournament). But mentioning the avaibility of individual eggs (palace shoppe, tourneys, OM-given like dolls) on this page would probably be a good idea. --Alfwyn 08:56, 18 March 2008 (PDT)
The 2008 Nordenx and Shortyjack eggs are not for sale, but are available via automated tournaments. --Barrister 16:53, 18 March 2008 (PDT)

Cleaver egg

I think we're missing a Cleaver egg. You can see a portrait of it here. --Barrister 22:09, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

2009 Egg Prices

I was wondering whether it would be possible if the prices of the 2009 eggs could be documented here along with the names and images of the egg. Guppyzr 10:17, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

I'd like to add the prices to the talk page now before we reach a historical point. They can always be added to the main page at a later date:
  • Defleur's prize-winning egg: N/A
  • Faeree's prize-winning egg: 3000/3
  • Flutie's prize-winning egg: 3000/3
  • Greylady's prize-winning egg:6000/6
  • Joe's prize-winning egg: N/A
  • Merethif's prize-winning egg: N/A
  • Merethif's second prize-winning egg: 1000/1
  • Multo's prize-winning egg: N/A

2009 Eggs

I won this cute eggy that is not yet on the page: Defleur's Prize-winning Egg.

Furniture-Defleur's prize-winning egg.png

There are also these ones that have been given prizes in the Easter Easel 2009 contests:

Would now be a good time to incorporate the event eggs into the page? the above 3 and the following eggs too: Furniture-Merethif's prize-winning egg.png Furniture-Multo's prize-winning egg.png --Fizz 07:01, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
All eggs have been added to the egg, furniture and holiday pages now. -- Cedarwings (talk) 20:53, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
I've also changed the images here to the furniture images rather then the images from the rendered event page. -- Cedarwings (talk) 21:12, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Image size

Having all the egg images at different sizes, but forcing them to a common size with the gallery has weird effects for me. Some are truncated at the bottom, while others like Defleur's egg appear noticeable smaller than other eggs. I guess the images should be recropped to a common size. Unfortunately the egg images that appear truncated for IE are those with height 40, the height specified here and on the furniture page for the gallery. --Alfwyn 21:23, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

You are correct, the image size on Defleur's is incorrect. Like all the others, it should be 35x42. -- Cedarwings (talk) 21:27, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Should be all better now. -- Cedarwings (talk) 21:30, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Egg Outlines

It would appear the event eggs for this year don't have the outline that they have in the game for the images here on this page. --Fizz 16:28, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Silveransom's Prize winning egg 2007

The picture on this Egg page shows Silveransom's Egg leaning right when in the game it is only able to lean left.

I uploaded the correct facing egg to the wiki, however, it will probably need to be redone to replace. I wasn't sure if I should go ahead and do that.Furniture-Silveransom's prize-winning egg2.png --Fizz 15:41, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
I fixed this. Sorry it took so long. --Barrister 08:41, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Layout

7 eggs in a row seem to fit with the static skin too, and I didn't want to start a new row with a single BK egg. We could layout OM and other eggs that way too, but would probably hit single egg rows that way again. So I'm not really sure what to do about it. --Alfwyn 12:23, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Link "prize-winning" eggs to Artist

In my opinion, we should link the various prize-winning Easter eggs to their respective artist's pirate entry (as applicable). For instance, link each of Dexla's eggs to Dexla. However, I presume this would qualify as a "project" that would benefit from "Bot-hiding" (i.e. hiding this edit as a "bot")*. Thoughts?

* -- Available to admins only? Or available to "regular" users? If so, how?

Thanks! -- Franklincain (t/c) 11:47, 2 September 2012 (PDT)

The first appearence of each name is usual policy. That said, you're talking one edit to one page, so I'm not sure how that qualifies as a major project. --Belthazar451 11:21, 3 September 2012 (PDT)
Just wanted to avoid ruffling anyone's feathers.  ;-)
Since the eggs are listed in reverse chronological order, the "first" listing for each artist would actually be the most-recent winning design for each artist. I've posted a mock-up of this section in one of my sandboxes. Please let me know Yay-or-Naye. -- Franklincain (t/c) 11:39, 3 September 2012 (PDT)
I don't actually have a problem with this change, and I thought about doing it myself in the past. That said, patience is a virtue- if you're worried enough about the edit to ask for input, you should probably wait to get it before moving ahead. I do agree with Bel that one edit to one page doesn't qualify as a "major project". But again, if you ask for opinions, you should have a little more patience. Nothing about this edit was time critical. --Fannon 16:21, 4 September 2012 (PDT)
