Introduction

Shanghaied was founded on July 5th, 2007 by Burninator.

Public Statement

Shanghaied is a crew that was created to be a home for pirates who were dissatisfied with the way their crew was headed. We are a friendly crew, who love to pillage, blockade, go into Brigand King flotillas, and enjoy managing various stalls across Sage. We welcome you to join our crew and see what we're all about!

History

In July of 2007, Burninator decided to leave Greed's Ambassadors following a disagreement with recently re-instated captain Grumbler regarding leadership structure. While many of the crew remained with Greed's, the unannounced move from Notorious to Verus Fidelitas prompted many of the former Greed's crewmates to join Burninator and Shanghaied. This caused a brief rift between Blackvixey (the queen of VF and former SO of Greed's) and the SO's of the crew, which has since been patched up.

Shortly after joining Notorious, two of the Notorious crews (Swindled Souls and Forbidden Pearl) merged with Shanghaied to create a dynamic crew that quickly reached Eminent status, reaching 48th overall rank before various activities caused the crew fame to drop. Greed's Ambassadors also merged into Shanghaied in early 2008.

Due to some external conflicts (mostly between the crew and certain decisions made by the flag), Shanghaied has split into essentially three crews with Adolescent (since merged into Infernal Crimson Elite) and The Mad Tea Party comprising the other two.

In December 2008, the crew was merged with The Mad Tea Party to re-form the original Greed's Ambassadors family. The decision to merge was taken primarily due to the high amount of interaction between the crews ever since the original division.
