Change ships --> vessels

This category should be named Category:Vessels with non-player pirates, and it should be clarified whether this category applies to specific vessels, vessel types, or both. Chupchup 14:42, 19 June 2014 (PDT)

As the only type of "vessels" we have are ships, that's not necessary. -- Franklincain (t/c) 16:25, 19 June 2014 (PDT)
On second thought, after more research, "ship" is actually the better word...
(Quoting from the first line of the "Vessel" page):

This article is about the game command. For the vessels which pirates can board and sail, see ship.

Just saying... -- Franklincain (t/c) 16:33, 19 June 2014 (PDT)
Okay, I withdraw the proposal. Chupchup 19:18, 19 June 2014 (PDT)

Revisit category name

Based on the published scope of this category, it would seem that "pirates" is a limiting name. I am not sure what to call it instead, but it should be a word that encompasses the possibilities of "pets" and "animals" as well as pirates - are ghosts and skellies considered pirates too? Characters, maybe? But yeah, the name's not great at the moment. --Budclare2 04:02, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
"Ships with permanent inhabitants"? "Ships that include a permanent pet/person/NPP you can interact with in specific, limited ways"? Yeah, not really a lot of great options for phrasing. Other than being permanent inhabitants on the ship, what other things do they share in common? Is there a way to distill that to a simple term? Probably not.  :/ Jlh0605 (t/c) 10:09, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
Ships with permanent stowaways. :D --Budclare2 21:03, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
Ships with (interactive?) Non Player (Entities/Characters)? (you've got me scrabbling for the thesaurus now) --Therobotdude 02:36, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
Let's just go with Ships with non-player characters. It doesn't have to be perfect, just better. --Budclare2 04:20, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
