Blue Ice is a dormant flag on the Meridian Ocean

A brief history

Blue Ice was founded by Lolinda on December 16, 2008, on the retired Malachite Ocean. The Blue Ice royalty decided it was best to move to Hunter during the summer of 2011.

Blue Ice has 6 royalty members: Boyk, Sagan and Sheeran from Common Sensus, Gds, Miniweale and Princesskyli from Day of Reckoning.

Their forums are located at http://blueiceflag.tk. However pirates who are not a member of any crew in Blue Ice are not going to see much of the site.

The crew Swords and Cannons was originally a part of the flag Time Bandit. The decision to leave and start a new flag was originally made by Lolinda, Lockdown, Shadowprince, and Millanrules. On December 16, 2008, the decision was finalized, and Blue Ice came into being. The first monarch was Millanrules, who reigned for a short time before he left. His resignation was followed by very short stints by Dreadful and Goldhunt. Eventually, the current monarch, Lolinda, took over for stability.

The original flag consisted of only Swords and Cannons. Today, Blue Ice consists of mostly crews whose captains were friends of Lolinda or any of the other royals, as well as prior members of Swords and Cannons.

The name "Blue Ice" was derived from the color of the ocean, as well as its frozen form. (Didn't see that one coming, did you?)

Events hosted

Slave Auction- Bored of having to do their dirty work themselves, Blue Ice auctioned off willing and unwilling members to be someone's personal slave for an hour. Sure beats having to do the work yourself

Sloop Race- Once again Blue Ice took to the ocean competing against each other in a race from Chrysalis to Zuyua.

Superdooper Auction- Blue Ice hosted an event in their flag hall- selling all unwanted items from pirates across the flag. These ranged from pets, sloops, furniture, clothing to an array of trinkets. The event was an awesome success bumping up the flags poe.

Casino Ship- Bored of playing in the inn, Blue Ice took the casino to the ocean, an evening of Tourneys, Trivia and mass parlor games kept all members entertained.

Halloween Party- And off came the masks and the scarier faces revealed in a party held at the flag hall. Competitions for best dressed as well as hide and seek in the dark kept our flag members entertained for all hallows eve

Deal or No Deal- The committee of Blue Ice filled 20 boxes with 20 prizes, from chromas, pets, ships and furniture. The members of the flag then sold raffle tickets and randomly picked 20 winners. Much fun was had by all and many people won some cool prizes.

Christmas party- The flag turned out in their flag hall to exchange seasons greetings and gifts, however this was giving gifts with a difference, you could choose a new gift or steal someone elses, this was more fun when the sloops and fams were open, there was a real fight to get the good gifts.
