Blockade RecordKeeper is a third-party tool made by Burninator that assists with updating the Win/Loss records kept on the various ocean "Blockade History" YPPedia pages.

Future

I anticipate possibly releasing a tool that helps with all the tasks of updating pages after a blockade, and this program's features would be included in that if it ever comes to fruition.

Usage

To use this tool, download it and double click the .jar file. Clicking "Yes" is recommended when asked "Do you want to let this program check for updates when it opens?", but if you don't trust it, you can click "Never", you'll just have to download new versions manually.

Select the ocean you wish to update, and then wait while it processes the wiki data.

Before uploading the data immediately, first check to make sure that there are no duplicate flags, or funny named flags. You may want to double check that all the recent blockades have a bolded winner. Finally, you'll need to replace every occurrence of the word "CHECK" with one of (defunct|active|bk), depending on whether the flag is active (exists and has non-dormant pirates in it).

If you're pretty sure that the data is correct after performing these steps, you can now copy and paste the data into the edit screen for the Win/Loss records. Make sure you only replace the template section, not the header!

To make sure you got everything right, check the difference between the previous revision and your new revision from the history page. If you see any irregularities in the changes, they may need to be fixed.
