Alternate flag

An alternate flag or alt flag is a flag consisting mainly of alts, primarily used for blockading an island without risking the ships of the real flag, or PvPing while avoiding the negative feelings brought on by such.
Use of alt flags is generally considered an exploit and is frowned upon.
Historical notes
The introduction of fame with release 2005-05-02 diminished the power of alt flags.
