Ocean Generals is nearly the largest crew on Viridian Ocean, with over 400 members. It owns lots of sloops, cutters, war brigs, nine war frigates and two grand frigates at the time of this writing. The crew was #1 in crew fame on ocean for more than five continuous months, and is well known for its successful pillages. The founder and prior captain of the crew is Rayn.
Oceans Generals is an autocratic crew that uses even booty shares.
Public Statement
This be the Ocean Generals. The crew that created Viridian's history.
We are a hard pillaging crew that likes to work on important officer skills such as battle navigation and leadership. If you want to join the most efficient crew on the ocean give any officer a tell, and if you dont want to join come pillage with us as a jobber.
Captain Grz
General Rules: 1. Be polite and nice to everyone.
2. Don't send a tell to the bnaver in battles as it disturbs them. Also, keep vessel chat to the minimum while in battle.
3. Obey officers and be a good pirate.
4. Don't leave during battles. You will get a minus share if ye do.
5. If you are a pirate of the crew, don't gun unless you are ordered to do so. If you gun without permission, ye may be /planked without warning.
6. Don't shout in vessels. Shouting is intended to be for crew's officers only.
7. If ye own a vessel, plz write yer name down on officer bulletin. If ye are not an officer, please ask any officer to do it for ye.
8. Use PTB (permission to board) on ALL sloops and cutters.
9. Have fun.
Officer's Rules:
1. Don't leave ships on uninhabited island.
2. Restock the ship after using it as its suggested on officer bulletin of the ship.
3. All hold items that are located on the ship before ye take it out should not be touched. Foraged/Pillaged items from when ye used the ship should be sold and used for restock. Anything left after that is yours.
4. Leftovers from restock money belongs to the bnaver (commanding officer). This is intended to be an incentive for all officers to take ships out and pillage.
5. 15% of the remaining funds AFTER restocking (leftovers) on any ship should immediately be deposited on Thin Clownfish on Kirin Island. This is to help creating a source of funds for flag and crew affairs.
6. As an officer, ye are not allowed to take any ship bigger than Cutter unless with owner permission or if its yer own ship. Two War Brigs are open for all officers use: Good Pickerel and Social stickleback. (NO permission is needed for those two ships).
7.Restock instructions: If no instructions are spicified in officer's bulletin, here are the Guidelines:
Sloops: 20 Rum, 35 Small cannon balls. Cost to restock: 1525 POE. Minimum booty needed to cover cost: 5084 POE.
Cutters: 30 Rum, 40 Small cannon balls. Cost to restock: 2100 POE. Minimum booty needed to cover cost: 7000 POE.
Brigs: 100 Rum, 150 Med cannon balls. Cost to restock: 9500 POE. Minimum Booty needed to cover cost: 31667 POE.
Frigs: 150 Rum, 250 Large cannon balls. Cost to restock: 18750 POE. Minimum booty needed to cover cost: 62500 POE.
Maxing Information This is the number of cannon balls needed to max every ship.. Remeber, your goal in bnaving is to max your opponent before grappling, so you might need this.
Promotions: Cabin person - Pirate - Midshipman - Officer - Fleet Officer - Senior Officer.
Cabin person: Everyone can join the crew if he/she is polite and a good person - just ask any officer while at port.
Pirate: have the standing Master or higher in Gunnery AND Sea Battle - ask any officer while at port.
Midshipman: if you are intrested in being an officer in the OG, ye will be given this title. Note that u have to meet officer requirements explained below.
Officer: Being made an officer is a priveledge not a right. Getting this position in OG means an achievment in your pirate career. Get an experience of Broad in all piracy puzzles and Sea Battle (Sailing, Bilging, Navigating, Carpentry, and Gunnery). Ye must have the following Standings to be promoted: 3 Grand Master, 2 Master and 1 above Able. In addition ye must meet the following minium requirements: Sea Battle -- Grand Master, Gunnery -- Master. Be a decent Battle Navigator (if ye want to practice bnaving, please do so on navy ships)..... Finally, the last requirement is owning the deed to a ship. We may waive the ship requirement if ye are Legendary or higher in Sea Battle. If ye meet all these reqirements, Contact any fleet officer or higher ranked officer to schedule Officer testing. Officer TESTS: The test consists of 2 parts. First is the oral test. Ye can take a look at the questions and prepare your answers on the bulletin board of the Upright Chub war frigate. Ye will be tested with a Fleet Officer or a higer rank officer. If ye pass, ye will be given the bnaving test which is the second and last part. We don't expect ye to be a perfect bnaver. However, ye should show that ye know what ye are doing. Passing it means ye got it. There is 500 POE fee payable to the tester before the bnaving test. Officer test shall be given on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only unless the tester agrees to give the test at a different time.
Fleet Officer: First ye need to prove yerself as an officer of the crew. Do not ask to be a Fleet Officer. In the Senior Officer Weekly meetings we will talk about officers up for promotion. A majority vote by the SOs and final OK by the Captain will decide on promotion.
Senior Officer: Be responsible and kind to crew. The captain is the only one who can promote to SO. In OG, this position is granted rather than asked. Please don't ask to be one, we will promote within our ranks from the Fleet Officers. This too will be discussed and voted on with the Captain having final say in the Senior Officer Meetings.
