Gydian
Gydian is a senior officer and counselor of the crew Fire and Ice and Lord of the flag Elements of Fear. He sails the Cobalt Ocean.
Biography
Gydian initially joined the crew Dragon's Blood in October 2006. He was promoted to officer during a time of leadership transition. During this period, he fell into the role of counselor to both the outgoing and incoming captains and showed himself skilled at Sailing and Battle Navigation. He rose quickly to fleet officer and eventually to senior officer.
As the months turned into years Gydian has excelled in Bilging and Gunnery, and built his sailing to a peek at sublime/legendary. His title of counselor is not honorary, but earned through many hours of conversations with crew members concerning both in game and real life situations.
On January 26, 2008 he moved to the crew Fire and Ice along with several other members of Dragon's Blood. He was soon promoted to fleet officer and once again given the title counselor. On February 25, 2008 he was promoted to the rank of senior officer.
June 25, 2008 was a red letter day for Gydian as he finally got his duty navigation skill above able rating. With this, all of his piracy experience and skill ratings were in bold font for the first time.
In March 2009 Gydian was promoted to Prince in the flag Elements of Fear. About this same time real life rudely interrupted and Gydian was forced to cut back his playing substantially.
In early November 2009 a rumor surfaced that he had been seen on Cobalt once again and that he had left word that he plans to be back at the sail station on a more regular basis very soon. Unfortunately, this proved to be a false rumor.
Currently Gydian has been around the ocean on a more regular basis and is once again building upon old skills.
He is also a collector of ships named Spot. At last count he had 25 of them himself plus one on long term loan.
