Celebrating a new peaceful era...
Also celebrating one year on this ocean on 2/20/2006. Hooray!

Membership:

To join Heian Era, you must first sail with an officer and perform your duties well enough that the commanding officer/XO is impressed, asking your full membership in the crew.

Crew Rules

1.	Have Fun!!! That is the point of the game. If you are not enjoying yourself or someone is preventing you from doing so, please tell an officer or the captain.
2.	If you leave during Battle or leave abruptly without telling the Commanding Officer you may forfeit any POE you may have earned. If you are a crew member, your name will be recorded and if it happens repeatedly you will be considered for expulsion.
3.	DO NOT board a ship with one person on board without asking the permission of the Commanding Officer on board. Officers are many times moving goods or perhaps wish not to be disturbed and trying not to get attacked. Boarding with them increases the risk, if you really seek to join them, always ask permission to board first.
4.	To become a Cabin Person (Full Crew Membership) you must work hard sailing, bilging, or carpenting, to the satisfaction of the officer in charge, for at least 3 leagues."
5.	Remember, have some more fun!! :P

History

About a year ago (Dated January 20th, 2005), Makira and Annesatsu were sitting around the Midnight ocean, talking about this and that, when our conversation eventually drifted over to the new ocean "Cobalt." What would it be like? Would we want to start over again? Should we just try it, for shits and giggles?

Makie and Anne were born.
Landing on the isle of Sakejima, they decided to get together and start a crew. But to do that, one person needed narrows in bilge and swordfighting, plus 7k of poe to purchase a sloop from the palace.
Over the next few days, the two women spent time improving their stats, and jobbing with ridiculous crew cuts just to make enough poe to start their own crew. Once the two had amassed 7k, (5k from Makie, and 2k from Anne [she was a slacker...still is]), they needed to raise their swordfighting stat to narrow. They sat around and swordfought, but Anne reached narrow first, so Makie handed her the poe, and told her to get her behind over to the palace and start a crew.

What about a crew name?
Well, we were on Sakejima island, and that's a Japanese name, so what about that for a crew? I thought of the Heian Era, because Heian is the Japanese word for peace. We were playing around in Cobalt to get away from the drama that is Midnight. So a peaceful era on a new ocean.
As time wore on, Anne got sucked more and more into her Midnight identity, only popping on Cobalt to update labor (which she was horrid at), and scaring the new officers with her ghostly ways.
Makie recruited a bunch of weirdos, they did some stuff, and here we are. /Anne

The Era of Ugly Muggers begins.
Uglylad is recruited by Makie in the early days of HE, making up one of the founding members. Ugly gets quick promotion to Officer, for having a Vessel :P

Makie officially takes on the captain role of Heian Era, becoming dedicated and devoted to getting a strong crew rolling on Cobalt, as Anne attends to her active pirate life on Midnight. They opened up a few stalls on Sakejima Island. Anne supervised and helped the stalls get to a running start until Makie could handle it as an official sweatshop madame.
Discussion amongst her and members of another crew Death's Sin about developing a new Flag. Mai Tornasse is formed, and Makie is made a princess, Kevral and Toque Take the King and Queen spot (Well Kevral Queen - Toque Prince technically). Flag's name was Mai Tornasse... Italian for... WHO CARES! mwuahahahahahhahahahahahah! Sorry.
Seriously, it translates to something along the lines of "Never returning" (If anyone has a better translation, feel free to let me know)

Makie recruits Tarf as greenie.
Makes Tarf SO (first SO besides Anne) within a week of becoming subscriber. Tarf learns what an SO is approximately 3 weeks later.

Tarf recruits Greyfox, who becomes second SO.

Tarf recruits Manontoilet, whom later gradually climbs the ladder to captain-dom.

The trials of Sling occur.
Manontoilet is in the early moments of his HE career, and gets distracted by Sling. Sling is caught for stealing, chastised, and thrown out of crew. Sling is linked to be Popsicles, whom came before Sling. Popsicles was thrown out of the crew for a whole different set of problems. He was known for disrespecting and planking Royalty types that Makie knew and had irreputable behavior towards everything in general.
Crew warning level goes to Orange. Buccaneer appears and has whole crew fooled (insert insane amounts of sarcasm) that he is not the same as Sling.
Crew warning level rises to a darker orange, or brighter orange. Bah! whichever is the higher!

The era of Gremlich starts, whom appears and womanizes the crew. Freaks Tarf out too.
Crew warning level rises to 'Be aware of Gremlich' and wear bright orange at night.

Greyfox goes suddenly MIA. Crew is saddened by his loss and still misses him.

Upon being noticed, Buccaneer resorts to desperate measures to attempt to have Manontoilet allow him to stealthily be recruited in the crew. He even creates a pirate named Girlontoilet and proposes to be Manontoilet's girlfriend to be in the crew. Manontoilet runs for the hills.

Manontoilet with the assistance of Gremlich's charm recruits Dcyborg.
Dcy runs around giving spankies to all who seem fit for spankies.

Crew mutinies over lack of influence in flag, despite the fact that we were more active.
After a 4 hour long meeting with all SOs (not kidding about the time), Hecate's Fury is formed.

The Era of the Ugly Muggers is truly born, with a crew in that name. Uglylad leaves HE at about the time of HF's creation and develops the crew, seeking membership into the flag.

The Era of Gremlich ends. He farts off to go join Impending farts (Impending Doom).

(Flag History Excerpt [FHE])Membership of the flag grows. Crews are added, starting with Axis Analemma and Scurvy Dogs.

(FHE)Divas Castle on the Sea joined for its short reign within the flag. They leave from altercation and on nasty terms.

(FHE)Stunning Booty joins the flag.

Jack-o-cups joined Heian Era at the conclusion of his very first pillage and what was probably only his second or third time to even log on. Jack recalls that it was a WB pillage with Tarf at the helm and Dcyborg playing the role of the tart, delivering splankies to all. Jack was an O in HE's blockade of Harmattan. Jack spent his Officer and FO days being mentored by the likes of Butchinas, Manon, Dcyborg, Tarf, Xubi, Wraith, Berlinetta, and Imkitkat.

(FHE) A Blockade is campaigned at Harmattan with Heian Era at the helm. (I state HE at the helm since the fellow crews in the flag put up a few cutters and brigs collectively when HE supplied countless brigs). After a tragic battle (one in which Makie receives a pegleg, Manon loses his first ever sloop with countless Garnet/Onyx charts) lasting 5 enduring rounds, Raiders of the Lost Arch emerges the victor in what was one of the best blockades on Cobalt so far. HE is proud to have had taken such a role in the blockade.

(FHE)Stunning Booty leaves the flag on nasty terms. Bits O Booty is derived from them.

Wraithsix, whom formerly joined Hecate's Fury under their own crew - The Flushing Crew - Along with Berlinetta join Heian Era after being cast out of Hypnotic.

Tarf takes up heavy drinking.

Tarf falls down.

Dcy spankies Tarf after falling down.

Dcy stops spankieing enough to go out on a pillage, finding Crazy Judah... beginning another era.

The Era of the Crazy Family Begins - Morale boost 1000+
CrazyJudah - getting a crazy idea as he is known to do - buys Granpou a full years membership for her birthday. Gran spends all her time puzzling - forgetting that she has grandchildren somewhere out there - Lisa drives all the way to Gran's house to visit - where dinner isn't cooked - and she's puzzling like a mad woman. Gran suggests that Lisa sit down and "try this new game out" and a few hours later Lisa is hooked - and good.
Lisa goes home and decides to make her own greenie account. LisaKayeLA is born. Lisa, being the shy and reserved person she is, meets no one - talks to no one - bah - who am I lying to - she talks to everyone and quickly figures out the puzzles. Lisa spends much time in game - - - much more than her IRL hubby wants (but that's another story). Lisa is promoted to officer after a quick training session with Xubi. Lisa loves being able to boss her mother & brother around while being XO - thus proving herself to Manon, Tarf & Dcy.

Makie steps down from the captain's spot. Before doing so, Some of the SOs deliberated amongst each other to whom should take up the captain spot. It is sort of unanimously decided that Manon fill the spot. Tarf being often too drunk and caustic, agrees. Dcy and her skin lotion just goes crazy on a spanky rampage and agrees.

Suddenly in November 2005 to their surprise, Lisa & Jackocups are summoned to a shack - where they are threatened with marriage (they quickly talked their way out of that pickle) and then given a promotion to SO.

Butchinas rescues Ferdnand from Puzzled Pirates after a tragic and unjust expulsion. He is brought into HE as an FO, which seemed reasonable after leaving Puzzled Pirates with SO status. This didn't settle well with one of the SOs in Heian Era who began a month-long campaign against Ferdnand. After some trials and testing of loyalty and hard work, Ferd becomes the next SO, again to heavy disgruntle. He continues to do what he can for the crew/flag.

The misfortunate event of an SO leaving Heian Era happens, as she cannot repute the acceptance of Ferdnand as SO.

(FHE)Bits o Booty and AA leave the flag stating they are not blockade driven like HE.

Butchinas gets Hitched to Gremlich!

(FHE)Hecate's Fury disbands in an effort to form a merger with Indestructible.

Tarf takes a small hiatus from game. Dcyborg begins arranging the funeral. On the big day, Tarf crashes the funeral, getting drunk in the process.

(FHE)Indestructible Fury is formed. Rules are in amendment to make all of the flag a united force. Dust continues to settle.

SO Imkitkat departs with Heian Era, Crew is saddened by her abrupt exit.

Butchinas replaces Tarf in HE Royalty, Ferdnand takes Butchinas'es spot as a Titled spot.

Scurvy Dogs Mergers with Heian Era. It's the official merger although half the mates showed up at HE's door already :P

Phoenix Rising also Merges with Heian Era, Finally, Finally after much tempting, Riahannon and her crew succumb!

Rappak and Dcyborg are married!

Ferdnand departs from HE. We wish him a good farewell. He remains in the flag as an SO of Red Mourning (derivative of La Fin Du Monde).
