The gauntlets are one of sixteen bludgeon types used in rumbling. They can be purchased at shipyards. On subscription oceans, this bludgeon may only be used by subscribers.

The single-row sprinkle pattern has 5 groups, so it has a sprinkle pattern that is comparable to the skeleton bone. Unfortunately, the gauntlets have a strike pattern that is very horrible in comparison to the skeleton bone. Most people that choose the gauntlets don't make strike attacks (or maybe they'll make 2 strike attacks in an entire match). The horrible strike pattern does not bother these people since they plan to avoid making strikes as much as possible.

The gauntlets are the only bludgeon where the middle of the sprinkle pattern (columns 4-6) is complete different on both rows of its sprinkle pattern. In other words, the middle of the sprinkle pattern has 0 points of contact between the rows. The next bludgeon to come close to this is the fists, which has 1 point of contact in the middle of its sprinkle pattern. Having 0 points of contact becomes increasingly unexciting as the board gets lower. Although it might be annoying to clear the middle when the board is high, when the board is low the middle is very easy to clear.

The advantage of the gauntlets is that (unlike the chain) it can work even if the user can't regularly make multi-row sprinkle attacks. However, if you can regularly make large sprinkle attacks, then you probably want to use a better sprinkle weapon.
