Oyyedet is a Senior Officer and the Drunk in the crew Toxicity, and a Lord in the flag Hells OnGoing Eclipse, on the Hunter Ocean. He pillages almost every day, and he is best pillaging on small ships such a sloops and cutters. He uses the sloops Wrong Haddock and Fat Rudd, and he is soon to have more ships for pillaging. His mothership is the Xebec and HOE Gameship Unworried Shiner.
Piracy Skills
Oyyedet specializes in Rigging, and is floating between Distinguished and Respected. Though his skills are rather low for a Senior Officer, he know how to pillage, and can typically turn most bad pillages completely around. He is a good gunner for a laptop, taking advantage of the WASD keys to substitute for his mouse wheel. His navigation skills are OK, though he practices every day, whether with the navy or on a pillage, assuming his amazing Captain Spiritofsail isn't there to Navigate for him. He is a Master at Rumble, specializing at very quick, constant 3-10 block blows and dropping balls when possible. He is a mediocre Swordfighting player, using his light blue Stiletto to jab quick combos at his opponents. His only Incredible is in Treasure Haul, the ONLY puzzle where it is easier to get an Excellent than a poor, however he is working every day to earn the Incredible Rigger.
Carousing Skills
Oyyedet is a Neophyte/Legendary at Drinking, thanks to a Tournament in March 2009 that shot him from Able up. He has unofficially retired from Drinking, to preserve his standing. He doesn't play many other games much other than Poker, though loves to play Spades and Hearts when a table is open.
Crafting Skills
Oyyedet is a crafty pirate too, working at least two Crafting Skills each day. He is still Able in Distilling, and used to manage a Distillery Stall with his friend, Teddyyo, buying Fine Rum themselves, hence not having to pay sales tax, making a small profit each month. Eventually, Teddyyo gave up on the stall, and today is rarely ever active, appearing just every few weeks*. He is Respected in Alchemistry, and floats between Distinguished and Respected in Blacksmithing. Because of his common ship orders and a liking to it, Oyyedet also commonly play the Shipwrightery puzzle. He is not skilled at Foraging, though he is good enough to get most jobs done.
A History of Oyyedet
Pre-"Oyyedetian" days
Though obviously very much Oyyedet today, this wasn't the case in the summer months of 2007. In said summer months, Oyyedet was known by a different name...on a different ocean. About two years ago, Nickynicky of the Midnight Ocean was Oyyedet's predeccesor at work. He started in the crew The Madborne, co-captained by Bobay and Mummay. Over the months he worked his way up the ranks of the single-sloop crew, eventually noticing The Madborne wasn't that big of a crew. He joined a very popular crew who's name baffles his memory now, captained by an illustriouslly famous pirate, whos name also baffles his memory, but started with 'Blue'. Sick of how a Senior Officer in one ccrew could be Pirate in another crew, he decided to become his own Captain and started The Madborne II, naming it after The Madborne where he raised he standings and learned the world of Puzzle Pirates. He merged The Madborne into his crew, and then went even farther. Due to his love of the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, before Jimmy Clausen arrived, he started a flag he intended to call 'NDFP' (Notre Dame Fighting Pirates) but forgot adding a P and kept the acronym the same as the football team itself (which he thought looked better, actually). Like his maiden crew, it did not get far, and in later months Nickynicky was forever deleted due to inactivity.
The Comeback of NickyNicky
For months Nickynicky's creator was uninterested in playing Puzzle Pirates anymore, but in late Februrary 2009 he was at Teddyyo's house for a sleepover when Teddyyo logged on. Remembering Nickynicky had been deleted, he started a new account, launching Oyyedet on both the Midnight and Hunter Oceans, but lost interest in subscriber oceans and kept on Hunter. Over the weeks, he grew back to his standings, grabbing Legendary Drinking and buying his beloved Limited Edition Black & Tawny Hound Brigand King and his Mothership Unworried Shiner, but lost interest yet again about a month later...
Summer Return
In late July 2009, Teddyyo revived Oyyedet once again, and Oyyedet started his glorious campaign that continues today. He purchased a War Brig, but was unsuccessful on it and sold it, buying two sloops, then selling one to create the portrait seen above. you can normally see him either in the Aimuari Inn, on a pillage, crafting, etc...
