Sinkfest
Introduction
Please note that ownership of the Event has passed to Rampage of Sage.
The Injury, funny thing. No matter how many 'Pieces of Eight' you have, how many ships in your fleet, or how brimming with Black/Gold Clothes your wardrobe is, you just cannot buy an Injury. That is, unless you enter Sinkfest! Rampage presents 30 ship sinking events on the Sage Ocean, each giving you 30 chances to obtain injuries.

- So, how does it normally work?
30 Ships, 30 Sinks. On the day of the Sinkfest Event, Rampage will be entering 30 War Brigs into a sinking Blockade at an Island on Sage Ocean. We take 29 lucky Pirates down to the deep, all in the name of fun, fish and loss of limbs. There is no need for you to join our Crew, or leave your own, all you need is to be on the ship when it sinks.
- Great! How do I get a place in the Events?
Previous Sinkfest events have required that you donate a War Brig and 3000poe to the Event. The donated War Brigs were sunk, and the 3000poe funded the final War Brig, Rum, Stock and other expenses. Future Sinkfest events may well be run differently.
- Where will they be Sunk?
The ships will enter a blockade on a Player or Ringer controlled island, and be sunk one after the other by a waiting War Brig. All 30 players will sink 30 times, which according to this thread or this post gives between a 40% and 60% chance of an injury (thankies to Rexie for the math!). In that particular event, one lucky pirate received all 3 injuries after just 16 sinks, and in Sinkfest I, Rampage received 2 injuries. Because this event is run without OM support, we rely on the entrance fees from participants to run these events. We will be accepting donations of PoE to be sunk and hauled back up again. We also have free avatars and signatures for Pirates to use on the forums!
