Valor is a flag on the Cobalt Ocean. It was founded on 27 February 2005.
History
Valor was originally formed on 27 February 2005 by Serve no Porpoise and Athame, both crews with migratory Midnight Ocean players formerly in Of Convenience. The flag has grown steadily since, with the notable addition of the crews Jade Scorpions and Silver Dawn, as well as a number of other smaller crews.
In late August 2005, Valor blockaded Terra Island in retaliation for what they felt was poor governing by Dragon's Fury, but they were defeated in three rounds.
In mid-September 2005, Bad Sushi and Foiled Again - two major crews formerly in Something Powerful - joined Valor. Something Powerful collapsed and Kirin Island was transferred to Valor. Around this time, the mercenary war flag A Song For The Deaf was formed by a number of ex-Valor mates, first as alts, then after a week or two as their main characters.
In late September 2005, Into the deep blue, a splinter crew founded by a number of established Valor mates, joined the flag. During the month of January 2006, the crews Apakoh and Moose of Doom joined the flag and Fathom Your Seatbelts departed. In the month of May 2006, the crews War Bandits and Gazookus joined the flag and Silver Dawn rejoined the flag of Valor.
June 4, 2006 was a day of many blockades including two involving Valor. Valor successfully defended Kirin Island from Friggin' Twisted in three rounds, while simultaneously managing to take Harmattan Island from defender A Song For The Deaf. First, third, and fourth rounds were won by Valor, the second round was won by Imperial Margarine, and no rounds were won by the defender. A Song For The Deaf lost a total of three islands in blockades that day. In addition to losing Harmattan Island, they also lost Ansel Island to Ascension in three rounds, and Viridis Island to Anonymity in three rounds.
January 22, 2007 Harmattan Island was transferred to Black Pearl for undisclosed reasons.
