Crew History

Early History

Cmdrofficer originally joined Altus Mare as a fleet officer. His views on the game were minimal and he owned only a sloop. He planned to start his own crew once he had improved his stas to an appropriate level. However, the crew began to deteriorate and eventually Cmdrofficer found himself the only active member.

As such he attempted to promote himself to capatain and much to his surprise, was able to do so. He began to put his former plans into action and began the first stage of the crews development.

First Stage

Cmdrofficer was extremely surprised to find out he was now a captain without having to spend ten doubloons to start a crew. He started out with ideals to teach new pirates to be successful, reasons for the new pirates to be formatted exactly how he needed them. Also, he left his ship unlocked to strengthen the crew's budget. His senior officers at the time were Bluechaos and Noahfotaine. He bought another sloop and unlocked that one, but locked the original. He went on vacation and when he returned, he started the very successful second stage.

Second Stage

Upon arriving back from the vacation, the crew remaining were but a handful. Within three days, he was able to take a handful of crewmen and an aspiring crew to over 50 members and an established fame. His next action was very strange, however. He was very unhappy with the White Knights of Sage. He was not only a captain, but the second most largest crew in the flag. He was not a royalty and had no political say. He left and the flag invites poured in. Flail personaly invited him a flag, but instead they decided to create a network. Once he created his own flag, he had four crews within it. After a while, it deteriorated due to his large periods of inactivity (claimed to be work), and now holds only his crew and a rather nothing crew led by Craazycrab, but he rejoined Altus Mare because 'the badge was way too expensive'. Ayyar and Anthny recently bought new ships. Cmdrofficer is desinging an unnofical training program for new players for his crew's use only.

Political Veiws

The World's Smallest Political Quiz

(See this at the bottom of the page for the website)

Conservitive Libertarian Crew

Acording to the world's smallest political quiz, our crew is defined as conservitive libertarians. We are defined as valuing Economic issues over freedom issues, but are much more free than most other crews. The captain ranks as a hardcore libertarian on this website, which really is what he is. How the crew polotics are set up is different to his ideals, which were plugged into the quiz.

Economic Freedom Standpoint

For economic, according to his plans in the first stage, he was to teach how to make money very effectively so they can spend it on the things they want. Cmdrofficer does have second thoughts about this, as the captain of the crew really acts as a governement, and in his oppinion, the government shouldnt decide how people make money even, but since there is no enforcement it really could be ok. Plus, as long as he lets other people add to it, it may not be official and rather privatized. The most ideal would be if he let the moneymaking experts in his crew run this, but he feels that he and his SO's really are the most competent unless told otherwise. He also belives that officers to captains should make the same amount, but pirates should have one rank less. He belives this because he thinks that better skill should recive better pay.

Personal Freedoms Standpoint

As for personal issues, the crew is Autocratic to allow quick voting, but FO's and SO's do have major political says. But, however, a crew is largely militeristic. In his oppinion, for a military he understands that does need structure of leaders and soldiers, in this case officers and sailors. This has proved to be allright, but he does see fully autocratic (or fully oligarchic but deemed autocratic) crews and flags accelerate as well. He does not care however, almost anyone is able to make a profit, and it works. He does have in his opppinion great solutions to problems, and in his oppinion so do senior officers and fleet officers, because they proved they could do that to even aquire that rank. As for the officers and pirates, they truthfuly are free to do what they please, except when it comes time for pillages or blockades, that is when the structure comes in hard, and the ideals of respecting officers and above. Its not like they have rules for talking and walking or anything.

Warning

When it comes to this, its Cmdrofficer's oppinion. If your oppinion is that he is wrong, then please just respect his statement and he will respect yours. Do not alter it because you dissagree, add it to the discussion under Political Veiws.

Officer

Have a ranking of at least narrow in gunning, sailing, bilging, and carpentry. You must also have the respect of the other officers in the crew.

Fleet Officer

Fleet officer requirements are having narrow or above rankings in both battle and duty navigation. You must also have the trust and respect of the other High ranking officers and the captain. Having your own ship isn't necessary but is a plus.

Commentary from Cmdrofficer

-"Yes, fleet officer is really taken seriously. If your a FO, you really prove you can be a leader. All my FO's and above have my upmost respect."

Senior Officer

Senior Officers are promoted to the rank only at the best of the best.

Commentary from Cmdrofficer

-"Being a SO requires leadership like no other. Ayyar is an expert on pillaging. Anthny is an expert in social issues, majorly due to the fact he recruited more than three quarters of my crew. Reamus is an excellent economist, he once owned a great stall on Greenwich. Snazzlebert was awesome, but he started his own crew. Being SO is being the best of the best. I do see some plausible Pirates and Officers however who may be able to achive this rank, but as for right now, these are my elites. In all my captain experence (two years), these are the best officers and friends I've ever had on puzzle pirates! Noahfotaine and Bluechaos, you too, but you both dissapeared."
