League of Light is a flag on the Sage Ocean. It was founded by Kneiss on March 8th, 2006 after a short period of time in a placeholder flag.

Please don't send blind alliance requests, or invite our crews to join your flag without talking to them. We might answer with a war declaration, not because we are are rude, it's just the spam is killing our news and issues we need to vote on. So talk to us if you are interested in an alliance.
Ahoy, and welcome to the League of Light!
The League of Light is a flag in the upper skill level - without being snobbish or arrogant. We are a flag that is about friendship - a family flag!
Friendship is the #1 reason why we are doing this!
We are chatty flag without rudeness in the FO-chat. A flag with a lot of flag activities (we even have our own department that is working on events). We are a flag that is mainly concentrating on strengthening their crews - with FUN FUN FUN and PILLAGING.
We have seen many flags dying, that's why our purpose is to create something that lasts: something that finally keeps friends together!
So our political system is trying to be as fair, as democratical and as agile as possible.. all at the same time. Important issues will be voted for in the flag forum. And EVERY captain has, along with the royals, 1 voice to vote on issues. Bigger Crews will receive a little bit more voice in the flag by being able to make 1 more of their officers go to the elections for becoming royalty.
Yes! We are having elections every 3 months so that the skilled people will be leading this flag - no lazers and no egotistical maniacs!
Depending on the size of the flag we'll be using 4 - 6 royals which keeps everything totally agile and organized. For eminent/illustrious crews 1 royal will be guaranteed in the vote, and a 2nd royal candidate is optional for every eminent/illustrious crew. And when a crew does not achieve a spot for a royalty, crews will still be having their voice in the flag along with their captains, because the captains vote on all the important stuff ALONG with the royals. That is what gives every crew, no matter if it's small or big, a voice in this flag.
Since this flag is getting stronger, and is growing and growing, we decided to blockade in the future. But we do not forget about our main goals! Which are friendship, fun and pillaging! We'll only blockade to have even more fun, to play this game - in all its facets! Not to dominate, and not to kill another flag!! Not to play a silly, way too serious "war-game", that is destroying our "fun-game". Dramas!!! - that's what this flag will be trying to avoid!
Good, mature and friendly crews are rare, which means we are pretty much selective about crews we let join our happy family. (But if a crew belongs to the top level of skill and fame, we might consider to give them a royalty spot without having to attempt in the elections.)
So if your crew seeks friendship, fun and pillages! Give one of the royals or the kingy a tell.

October 7th 2006 - Scrimshaw Island governed by Ordunio was won in a 3 round blockade against Hardcore Explorers and Candy Coated Chaos
December 16th 2006 - Kiwara Island and Penobscot Island were both won in 3 round blockades against Les Aristocrates in retaliation for LA dropping a chest on Scrimshaw Island. League of Light also successfully defended Scrimshaw Island at the same time.
January 8th 2007 - Kiwara Island and Penobscot Island were transferred to Fearless Privateers and Eternal Glory respectively.
