Crew Info

It was a good idea to look at these articles. These articles will explain what all of this crew's rules and regulations are.

If you are a jobber, they suggest you at least read the rules, especially if you plan to join the crew, because officers and the captain like it when you understand what they want you to do or not do.

If you do plan on joining the crew, he looks forward to pillaging with you. Refer to Section 6: Full Membership/Promotions.

Note to OFFICERS: When posting in the crew issues, please use proper punctuation, spelling (if you can), and language.

Rules

Basic Voyage Rules

No swearing, yelling, arguing, begging, fighting, or putting others down; Obey your Commanding Officer at all times^; Work to the best of your ability; Stay on a station unless given permission by an Officer to leave it, and do not pause (Laze about) on a station for long periods of time; If you have to leave the pillage then tell an Officer before you go.

Sea Battle Rules

A sea battle is critical to the success of the crew pillage even though it may not seem that way, therefore, if there is an open station you MUST take that station.^^ Do not EVER leave the ship during a sea battle. If you really have to leave, ask an officer if its ok to leave. If they don't let ye, then you will just have to wait.^^^

Swordfight Rules

Swordfights are the other factor to decide if we make money or lose it, there are a few rules for it: Teams of 2 or 3, Use spacebar sparingly if you are targeted by a computer (it makes the computers fight harder), and attack cleavers first. lt is suggested to come up with a technique that works for you when you fight.

Rumble Rules

Rumble is the alternative to swordfights, and take place against barbarians. Teams of 2 or 3 are crucial, but apart from that they suggest you also develop technque with rumble too.

Penalties

lf you have disobeyed these rules you have commited an offense. Offenses commited will be punished. The Officer punishing you can choose reasonably from any of the punishments based on the magnitude and repetitions of the offense. The punishments for jobbers are, from least to most severe: 1.Warning 2.Pay Dock 3.Planking/expulsion 4.Report to ocean masters 5.Blackspot

Full Membership/Promotions

They're happy to hire anyone who obeys the rules, and talks to an Officer AT PORT to be hired and Do NOT beg for it; also pirate will be your initial rank if you are hired, there is a tiny exception, see "pirate" in private statement.

Promotions work the same way, with a few exceptions, you will need to fullfil a few requirements first, with a general rule: If you meet the requirements, you WILL be promoted, do NOT beg for it, we will promote you if you are ready; More in private statement

Questions, Concerns, Complaints, Suggestions, Etc.

lf you have any Questions,Concerns, complaints^^^^, etc., talk to an Officer when they are not currently on a voyage. lf they don't know the answer then you can ask someone of a higher rank, and if all else fails you can talk to the captain, he will be obliged if he is not currently working on something.

Ranks

Here is explained the ranks in the crew, how to achieve them, their priviledges, Vessle Assignments (VA's), and rules

Cabin Person:

If you are this rank, you probably just joined the crew. To be a pirate refer to the "pirate" section of the articles.

This rank can also be a punishment rank. If that is the case, you are on probation, as a penalty for a severe offense. lf you have this position, it is suggested that you stay on your steward and crew's good side.

Pirate

This is the regular unit in the crew.

You are initially ranked as this but there is one simple requirement for it. You must read through these articles. If you have read all of the articles up to this point, then I or any of my Fleet Officers or higher will happily promote you to Pirate. After you have finished reading these articles, just tell a fleet officer or higher "I have read the articles, sir/ma'am." and they will promote you. (You do not have to say this. You can say something similar. But please be as polite as you can when you do speak with officers and such that are above your rank. If you do not know how to be polite, use the phrase i provided.)

Officer

This is the basic leadership position At this rank you can lead pillages, if you pass your officer test. Until then you will have the title of midshipman.^

Recommended Requirements (Having all of the requirements will greatly increase your chances of the promotion, but there is a slight chance of an exception) : Broads in sailing, bilging, and carpentry; narrow in gunning; Officer badge; CREW TRUST

Fleet Officer

This is an advanced leadership position that is very honorable to have, and is only given to trustworthy people.

Recommended Requirements: Solids in sailing, bilging, and carpentry; broad in gunning, Navigating, and Battle Navigating; Senior Officer badge; CREW TRUST; A Ship

Senior Officer

This is the highest leadership position second only to the Captain. This rank is the highest and most honorable you can get on this crew, but don't expect it.

Requirements: You have to have been a fleet officer, and have full trust of the Senior officer sand the captain.

Miscellaneous Issues

^If you disobey orders from someone with a higher rank, you are practicing insubordination. Insubordination is a very serious offense, and will not be taken lightly. If your superior asks you to do something, you better do it, or expect trouble. Ordering someone of a higher rank to do something, or Ordering the owner of the ship you are on is also insubordination. The order of rank on a ship is: 1.Captain 2. senior Officer 3. Ship Owner 4. Fleet Officer 5. Officer

^^You may only be off a station if you have specific permission from an officer or higher. However, you should obey the people with the highest authority.

^^^If there is an officer that you feel has been unjust to you, whether by not allowing you to leave during a sea battle you can take it up with the Complaints Officer (Name to be changed)

^^^^Complaints about other crew members or rules are welcome but they will not allow you to gripe about the way this crew works, if you are doing that then you shouldn't be in this crew. If you don't like something, you should politely state your problem and have something better in mind before you tell them to change it.

Be aware that exceptions can be made, but do not expect deviation from these rules very often.

Articles can be subject to change without notice, so check regularly. If you have any questions just ask any officer or higher.

Thank You

-Captain Rylas-

Future Plans

The Empire has plenty of ideas floating around, including their biggest which they like to call "The Conspiracy". It will be revealed in due time.
