Biography
Having joined the game on May 31, 2005, Rebeviper quickly began his rise to fame. Still unsure how the game worked, he began jobbing off the notice board and raised his stats. Soon after, he jobbed for Dustybottom and was invited into the crew Azure Knights. But Rebe wanted to do more, he wanted to rise through the ranks and increase his power. So he continued to job, increasing his meager amount of poe, all the while meeting new faces everywhere he went. The most notable two were a young sexy lass in black and pink who caught his eye on the docks one day and an old salt with plenty of wisdom. Rebe quickly switched crews, joining Melificent.
Now in Melificent, Rebe's dreams began to come alive, his growing ability to puzzle and increasing knowledge of the game convinced Atmywitzend to begin officer training. Rebe had no trouble understanding the concepts of being an officer and after a week or so he rose to senior officer. But Rebe wasn't satisfied and when he attacked a fellow officer in the crew (PvP), he knew he wanted more. So Rebe broke ties with his crew and started his own, named Madness Prevails as a result of the before mentioned girl he met.
Rebe met this girl (Evilaurian) soon after he started playing the game, on a dock (he forgets which), wearing black and pink. Rebe was immediately attracted to her, but before he could talk to her, she was gone. Rebe would again meet Evil, this time while jobbing on a war brig. They quickly hit it off and became hearties. They became closer and closer, spending time together pillaging, talking, whatever, and when Rebe needed a crew name, he looked back at their first portrait together and chose that name.
So Rebe started his crew, lead some pillages, gained some members and all was well. He gained enough fame to start a flag, but that was as far as he got. He quickly lost interest in building the crew up and went back to his jobbing ways, talking to Evil and eventually joining her crew. Rebe only lasted a day.
Now alone again, Rebe joined a smaller crew (he forgets the name) with Tshueva and Teliko. The crew admired his stats and so quickly made him senior officer. But not only did they admire his stats, they admired his knowledge of the game. Rebe noticed this and went about getting the crew to disband and start a new crew and flag, which would later be called Shalom Alachaim and Kol Nidre. Rebe's ascension to power caused him many difficulties, for he had to remain loyal to the new Queen Tshueva, but throughout his tenure, wanted to unseat her and steal her now growing flag. Rebe, along with Teliko, took over for Tshueva during her leave of absence, leading the flag and crew. The two of them built it up until it was finally ready to blockade, something Tshueva promised Rebe. But plans fell through and Rebe grew disgusted being 2nd best as Teliko began to overtake him, so he left.
Yet again Rebe was alone. Turning to the forums for a crew, Rome found him and invited him in. Rebe liked the idea of joining one of the most powerful flags and accepted, hoping to gain a little piece of their power. Rebe quickly made new friends, enjoyed many pillages, and had great fun. But throughout his 7-8 months in Pirates of the Damned, Rebe's eyes were always set on becoming a royal. Towards the end of his time in Crimson Tide, Rebe began to fight with people, attacking the ruling body, and demanding change. He would begin to pull away from Crimson Tide when he jobbed with a pirate named Bradock, who had his heart set on converting Rebe into his crew. Initially, Rebe resisted, but as his rage grew over assumptions and finger pointing about an event he was planning (and him using the PoE to buy black clothes, which he already bought himself), Rebe found it necessary to leave.
Rebe said his quick goodbyes amongst thoughts of leaving the game and moved on joining the Dragon's Rejects, where we was quickly accepted as one of their own. Rebe's success took a huge leap while working alongside Bradock, earning his 4th-6th Ultimates (Sailing, Bilge, and Shipwrightery) and so he was happy. Around this time, Rebe was still pursuing his dreams of owning a familiar, having saved up quite a chunk of PoE, but love intervened. The girl he had met so long ago and he stopped talking when he fell in love in real-life, but with her out of the picture for some time, Rebe picked up where they had left off.
In a matter of weeks, Rebe and Evil were right back where they left off and things began to grow serious. He and her began spending every minute they had together talking in game, playing cards, dueling, and just about anything else that allowed for them to be together. They finally grew inseparable and that is when Rebe realized he wanted her. Rebe continued his pursuit of Evil and on Aug 31, 2006, he married her in game.
In planning the surprise, Rebe was bouncing off the walls. He knew she wouldn't turn him down. This is when Rebe realized she was worth more than a familiar, stats, or any other pixeled bits of the game. And so, Rebe took his familiar PoE and spent all of it on her, buying her the estate she wanted, her silly harpsichord, 2 flag tapestries (of their colors), a bunch of other minor gifts, and of course her ring (outfitted in their colors). So on Aug 30, 2006, Rebe proposed, she said yes, and they began moving into their new home. The wedding took place the following day with Moonsword reading the vows. Following a quick wedding, 2 tournaments went up (1 with a sloop), and they finished with a war brig pillage.
And so all was well; Rebe had finally found what he was looking for. But unknown to Rebe, the royalty were talking and his flag disbanded instantly. Rebe was confused, but stuck with his crew. Shortly after, during talks of new flags, Rebe got mad with the captain and the two of them fought, ending in Rebe leaving.
But little did he know, that this would mark the turning point in his gaming experience. Rebe continued on for some time more and bought the familiar he always wanted, a white monkey. Still, time passed and Rebe began losing many of his closest friends, most notably his in game wife and best friend. The two separated and Rebe lost interest in the game. He made it his last goal to take part in the Carpentry Bake-Off and placed 7th overall, winning a stone figurine. Rebe considers himself retired, but still owes a few people some poe.
To many Rebe is just a memory.
