About Our Flag
This flag is the last surviving original flag of Sage founded on Aug 31st 2005 and has collectively held the #1 fame position for longer than any other flag. We have also had over 2100 members under the flag making us the biggest flag ever seen so far on Sage. As a highly organised flag we have a Forum, Talk Server, Flag Structure where real jobs are offered with real responsibility like Politics, Recruitment, Information, Events, Training and a host of others. We also have 'alt' crews to help in training and blockades. We also have many stalls that offer discounts and well paid jobs. More on all these things can be found on this flag page if you join us. We're one of the most experienced and longest running original flags on this ocean, so join in the fun and be part of the hardcore family.
Flag Politics
All crews under our flag enjoy freedom and fun, we do not have rules that make the monarchs or royals rich. This flag is based on loyalty honour and respect towards others. Our flag raises funds on a donation and events basis. We hold many fun events to raise cash for the flag that is to be used only for things the whole flag benefit from. If any flag member is disrespectful to others they will be expelled no matter who they are. We are a professional united flag full of friendly helpful people all with one goal in mind… To have fun!
- Royalty
Our flag has a king & queen and as such the monarch is an alt account shared by both King Evilard & Queen Symonds called Evilsymonds. The royal system we have is based on the job you have. If you do a job under the flag that requires a need for the royal buttons you will be royal. If you have a job that does not need the royal buttons you will be titled. If any royal or titled member is not doing their job they will be replaced by someone who can do the job. Only trusted people that have been loyal to our flag for a long time will be given royal jobs. If a royal member is found to be dormant without good reason (I.e. they are on holiday) they will be replaced. When it comes to issues a meeting is called and the issue is discussed by all that attend. Royals and any officers under the flag are welcome to voice opinion and meetings are held in an orderly fashion so everyone gets a turn in talking. All Royals must be trusted with information and plans involving the flag. ANY royal member that is found to 'leak' information will be expelled from the flag.
- Titled
Every crew under our flag is entitled to 1 ‘free’ titled member if no jobs are held by a crew. Once that crew takes a job under the flag only the job holder will be titled. If a titled member is found not to be doing their job they will be stripped of title.
- Alliances
Our flag is 100% loyal to any alliance we have agreed to. We as a flag believe that communication between alliances is essential in helping each other. We offer full support in any way we can to any plan that is agreed by all the alliances we have. Our flag will only alliance with likeminded kings & queens with similar politics to our own. Extensive talks with us and our alliances must be held in order to be considered as a new alliance with our flag.

The Four Flag Rules
- Flag Chat:
Flag chat can be used to talk, but keep it short. Above all else I want to see Courtesy, Manners and Respect to others on the officer channels. ANY bad language, arguing or selling something every 5min's will not be accepted. We now have a ‘Marshal’ system to keep control of /fo chat. The marshals will tell people to stop spamming if someone requests it due to pillaging. If spamming continues the officer in question will be reported to the ‘Judge’ and a punishment will be issued by the judge. If any of MY officers are disrespectful on any officer channel they will be demoted to a rank so they cant even see that chat and I hope other captains will adopt this policy.
- 3 Strikes and ye out!!!:
If a crew under the flag attacks a friendly ship under our flag or an allied flag without disengaging that crew will receive a strike. Depending what the captain of that crew does will depend on what type of strike that crew will receive. There are 2 types of strike... One is a 7 day Officer Strike and the other is a full permanent Crew Strike. To get the lower penalty of a 7 day Officer Strike your crew must give the name of the officer responsible by posting it on flag news. That officer must then be demoted to a pirate for the 7 strike days. If that officer is not demoted for the full 7 days of the strike your whole crew will gain 1 crew strike. If any crew receives 3 Crew Strikes the whole crew will be expelled from the flag. Officer strikes are also permanent and If any officer under the flag receives more than 3 officer strikes they are to be black listed and booted from the FLAG. That means no other crew under this flag can accept that officer. If a crew knowingly excepts a black listed officer (even under an 'alt' file) that crew will receive 2 full crew strikes.
- Flag Fame:
If your crew becomes inactive and drops to aspiring it drags down our flag fame for the whole flag. Fame is worked out by the amount you pillage and do puzzles, so if your crew does not pillage or do puzzles your crew takes fame away from the rest of the flag that are working hard. There is a very good chance that if your crew drops to aspiring you will be expelled from the flag for this reason.
- Blockade Rules:
If you wish to be in a blockade jobbing on a ship for our flag or an allied flag you must not leave that ship without VERY good reason until that round has finished and you are told you can leave. Blockades are as important as it gets in this game and if you leave the ship you cannot be replaced until the ship ports, so if a few crew members jump off the ship you will leave that ship and the rest of that crew with a big chance of being sunk and losing their vessel or worse the blockade itself. Simply put, if you don’t have 1hour to spend on a blockading ship DONT GET ON IT! Crew members from my crew found to leave a ship in a blockade for no good reason WILL be expelled no matter what rank they are and I hope other captains of the other crews under this flag adopt the same policy.

Hardcore Explorers was founded on August 31st 2005.
Hardcore Explorers was first flag on Sage to reach 2,000 members excluding jobbers on April 21st 2006.
