Crew Articles
- PTB - Permission to Board a ship is required in The Rounders. If you see from the docks that there is a ship out at sea you are required to ask over crew chat if you can PTB <vessel name> and wait for an officer on board to say Granted. There are exceptions to this rule of course. PTB is not required for any ship that is in port, nor is it required if an Officer advertises for crew over Crew Chat. But it is always a good habit to get into.
- OIC - When you are on a ship the Officer that granted you to come on the ship is the Officer in Charge or OIC. You must show respect for the OIC. If they ask you to do a certain station you should make every attempt to do your best at the station. If you prefer another station then you can of course let the OIC know, but it is not always possible for you to get it. Do not ask to Gun or Navigate on a vessel, if Guns are needed the OIC will most likely ask if anyone can do them, if you are good then is the time to offer your assistance.
- Teaming - Teaming in battle is essential. If you are reading this and do not know how to team ask an officer ASAP, we are willing to help you learn how to be successful at the game, but if you don't ask how to do something we don't know that you don't know how to do it. It's imporatant that everyone teams if you want to win loads of booty!
- Leaving a Vessel - If at any time while you are at sea if you have to leave you MUST tell the OIC that you need to go. You cannot leave during Sea Battle, doing so may result in expulsion from the crew. Giving as much notice as you can to the OIC is much appreciate, such as " I will need to leave in 5 mins." or so.
- Spamming, Begging, or other Bad Pirate Practices- Please make sure that while you are either chatting over Crew Chat or on a vessel that you do not beg, spam, be especially foul mouthed, or generally annoying. Most of the people in The Lunar Knights are adults so if you are not please try to act as grown up as possible, we do celebrate humor at it's finest, so don't be afraid to talk, just know what to say.
- Should You Have a Problem- Should you have a problem with any person in the crew, no matter who it be, you are more then welcome to take your problem to Captain Azureus or if I am not avalible any Senior Officer. Please do not argue over Crew or Vessel chat, you will get further in this crew if you take all problems to your Captain and not try to sort them out yourself.
- The Reason you are here- The reason you are in our crew is to be part of a family, so let us get to know you, pillage with us often, join in our conversations, and have fun. Once you get to know us you will like us, because well, we are sufficiantly awesome. Your pirate life will be much more enjoyable if you have friends in the game and the crew is a great place to start.
- Lazing - While on a vessel at sea you must be on a station at all times, if you need to at any time take a small break for any reason you must let the OIC know that you will be gone for a bit. Otherwise you will be planked in the total of 2 minuets!
Teaming
When fighting during a pillage, the commanding officer will tell you to team up. This means that several of us will focus attacks on one opponent. To do this, click on the character on the right. Who you click on will determine who you are attacking - there will be a white border around the character that you are attacking. There will be dots next to the opponents' board indicating how many pirates are attacking the opponent. So if the CO (commanding Officer) says teams of 3, then move your dot to a character so there will be 3 dots on their board.
Watch the chat during the fight. Quite often, who you are attacking will move throughout the game. The CO may re-direct attacks during battle too.
Please watch for and follow these directions immediately. A good crew can beat an opponent who has better skills if they follow the CO.
Advanced Swordfighting
Ready to deliver a huge blow? Got a double, triple coming? Well, check out your opponent, are they almost dead? Would your attack have no affect? Then click on another opponent, deliver the blow, then click back.
Cleavers and foils: Attacking cleavers or skulls (characters with butcher knifes or skull swords) are best for us. Their attacks are hard to fend off, so killing them first is best. Leave the characters with foils for last. Their attacks can easily be turned against them, so leaving them for last is the best strategy.
There are other strategies, esp. when fighting human pirates that cannot be listed here. So listen to your CO and we'll make lots of money together.
Battle Situations
Always obey the CO or you may get planked. If you are gunning and the CO orders you to sail. Don't get that last cannon filled before following the order. They're ordering you to another station because they don't need the other cannon filled and need you elsewhere. This is common and you shouldn't be upset. Ordering you to stations is the best way to communicate where the CO wants you (because it sounds a whistle).
Swearing or spamming will result in yer account being banned or suspended so please talk to the other pirate kindly or use /tell if the problem still annoying use /complain <pirate name> <problem>
Promotions Requirements
If you work hard in our crew, both on your pirate skills and on letting us get to know you, there will come a time where you will want to move up in the crew.
